Fletcher in the top 10 scorers last year, but by far the highest average at 79..... He must have missed a couple of games and had some NO's

Looking over the last 4 years, Conway and Phillips are regulars at the top, but Cleavers name is in the top 10 consistently, as is Fletchers.

Here is 18/19

Finn Allen off to his usual SR 200 start, can he get a big one today.

Edit: Lol, just cant help himself, hits it out of park onto the road. 37/12

159 is a reasonable total to hunt down.

Allen doing fine so far in the Super Smash. I hope to see a big score from him today.

Hes got it down from 8rpo to 7rpo already, should be a doddle from here for Welli.

Edit: 50/21

When you have a player like that opening, it essentially assures a win when it comes off. Welli seem to have adapted to the loss of Conway opening and largely feeding Finn Allen last season.

Ok now the real batting starts. Lets see if his teammates can pull off the win.

He might do it all himself haha. 68/31

Agggh, Kitchen a left arm spinner puts the BOUNCER in, next the under arm, snags Allen down the onside. I just hate plays like that. I guess its legal so meh.

Sensational innings all the same and has pretty much won the match within 8 overs.

What I like about Allen is, when he gets out you can see how much it annoys him, he is thirsty, hungry, wants more. Reminds me of a Munro who is always hungry, but Allen has more modern shots and faster hands.

Agree, it’s nice to see when a player is like that after getting out. People are going to say it’s a bad look to have when getting out but that just shows someone who is determined to score as much runs as possible in each game they play.

Yep. He was looking in the zone to get the total not out. Got a bouncer from a spinner which. Kitchen is a sneaky player, I like him. But Finn clearly wasnt expecting it. He wasnt happy with himself, but at least he didnt punch his bat and break his hand like his fellow opener Conway did in the WC haha (he actually broke the finger in country cricket, the punch just fractured what must have been a weak heal).

Anyway, rain came in and Finn Allen had them so far in front. Even if it had been the full 20ov, he had the score down to 5.9rpo at one stage. Exactly what you want from a 1,2 or 3 in T20 cricket. One of them will come off more times than not and set the win up for the middle to finish off.

Without looking that takes Welli onto same points as Auck, like Auck, still have a game to play. Shaping up to be a tight 4 and good season.

Im really enjoying the womens game, but one of them needs to learn the outswing. The women have such insane hoop to their swing, is a pleasure to watch, especially like today when the ball goes right through the gate and takes the stumps. Most exciting part of cricket for me is bowling and getting a big hooping in swinger through the gate like KJ does. Set them up with a seamer away or straight for a few balls then that hooping in swing. Lovely.

I’ve been watching the Ashes as well. So glad Khawaja got his century after not playing in the test side in almost 2 years. He basically gave the finger to the selectors who didn’t select him.
He should have never been dropped in the ODI side as well.

If Travis comes back for the 5th test then Khawaja should be opening with Warner and drop Harris.

Yeah I hoped to see a good contest but the AUS bowlers have been lethal. But that was great watch. Last 3 overs to come (slightly behind) ENG 10 from 2 overs, Id like to see them recover and take it longer

Aucklands single grey day of summer, has been HOT, so players will be pleased to be only mid 20s.

Aucklanders have put up with a lot with nobody having gotten the covid health measures in place to deal with it and hospitals, so nice to see a crowd at the outer oval today. I see more masks on that other parks hah

Wow GP when he hits the ball, it is probably the loudest crack I hear from any batsman, it stays hit.

Auckland with Guppy a bit of change with Worker and GP opening. This is where Auck need Finn Allen back haha.

I think Worker will play the Conway to Finn Allen type role when those 2 bat together for Welli.

Yep, they worried about the Aus series too.

Calf strain in the Ford Trophy. Hopefully its not going to stop him from opening.
