TeaLeaf:Dochart: Is Guptill injured?Yep, they worried about the Aus series too.

Batting wise, NZ should select something like this for the t20s.
1. Guppy
2. Finn Allen
3. Conway
4. Munro
5. Phillips
6. Worker
7. Cleaver (WK)
8. Milne
9. Fergusson
10. Boult
11. Sodhi (not sure about who to use as off pace)
Something like that
GP going finn allen here, 53/25, five 6's. Hope it continues.
Edit: Uggh, like Finn Allen, GP gets a rank rubbish ball from Toss Astle that gets him out. Its almost like when batsmen like these guys are going well, just bowl the worst ball you can think of to get the wicket lol
Im not a Solia fan, he gets shoved up to 3 and misses a simple straight ball trying to hit across it, golden duck.
Magicians back in the game, especially with Auckland missing their key batsman.

Dochart: Whatever team they select for the T20 World Cup in Aus must have Munro in it.
A good SR innings here from the Auck captain. Hopefully he can be there at the end.
Edit: oh jinxed him, why are soooo many players getting strangled down leg side to that catcher. I saw it in the test match as well. Its like they just forget he is there and the bowler is pitching it on leg stump for a reason.
Edit: Horne gone, Auck should have been looking 180+, but will be lucky to get to 170 now with 6 down. That might still be too much with Magicians with Aucklands strike bowlers on form.
Love fast bowlers who aim at the stumps, you miss he hits. Lockie is one who hits the pegs for a lot of his wickets.
2fa in 1.2 overs. Might be on for the 5fa who knows.
Cam Fletcher now, Im watching him like a hawk. Richardson is like, wow he has a really good average, he could be a really good player. This just shows how players in NZ fly under the radar.
I think he would make a great white ball keeper for NZ and potentially replace Blundell.
Edit: haha, good, Franky Mckay just raised Cam Fletcher should be mentioned in higher honours, then Scotty came back with Dane Cleaver.
I just hope NZC are listening and especially the select Gavin Larsen. Now Mark Richardson is in on it and saying he just needs to get into one of the international teams and then he should get access. Now saying the same about Glenn Phillips.
Again, we all know this, but Larsen is conservative, I think he expects the team to be able to perform the same losing Watling and adding a young opener at 7. Durrr.
WOW GP nearly took the catch of the season, he is something else in energy levels, very much Jonty Rhodes esque.

Dochart: Nice to see Phillips bowling this match.
I was hoping Welli were going to lose the toss at Puke park and see Finn Allen hit 102 off 17 ;-p
I think CD lost with a mammoth 217 last game at Puke, Cant chased it down within 17.2 overs, so they better post something similar to have a chance of containing Welli on these little boundaries. Although theyve had close matches at around 140/150... But looks a belter
I love this ground, always have, its more impressive in person. Ideal for t20 as they want short boundaries for making money (fan entertainment).
Looks like a big score again from CD, they have some huge hitters despite the small home ground.
Im a big fan of young Josh Clarkson. IMO hes one of NZs biggest hitters. Definitely a white ball specialist though. But has hit a few that would be 110m+ (ball gone clearly, one in the pond)
Interesting to see how the likes of Finn Allen etc chase 200+

Dochart:
CD lineup is solid even without Cleaver. I’m guessing he’s injured.
Allen and Wellington should be able to chase this if they can restrict CD under 180.
I was wondering the same thing about Cleaver, unless, NZC have listened to us haha.
Ben Sears HAS to be into contention to face Aus imo, he isnt just 150+, he now has amazing change ups and seamers, he must be flappn hard to face. Him and Lockie going at the other end, hard to drop Milne, but Im going with the extra pace of Lockie. All 3 have the ability at white ball now, NZ is spoilt for pace bowlers. I wouldnt be suprised to see Sears make the test team in time provided he doesnt get the usual back injury. Southee and maybe Boult can only have a few years at most left in them Id think.
CD have a stacked big hitting side and a tiny home ground, they have under performed this year, this is a must win game. 200 is par, I think they would want 220 and defend it better this time round.
edit: Clarkson 51/25, good innings, was promoted up the order and its paid off. Now CD can make hay with Bruce in as well at same time...
edit: Tom Bruce totally destroys Hamish Bennett, 24 runs. I can see why Tom has played t20s for NZ. They have 2 good openers, then Bruce and Cleaver and then Clarkson. They should be doing better, Ajaz will be telling on this pitch, if he bowls well, Stags win. Looking like could be 240 even now, if Clarkson keeps this up !!!
227, Welli with a low last over, I think Bracewell took a couple of runs he should have left Clarkson on strike for, he was brilliant today. Ben Sears was the only bowler who looked to trouble CD. He really is maturing, far more accurate than a year ago and I think being around the BCs team he has learnt a lot more variety. Hes in my top 5 bowlers in NZ.
Finn Allen gets out quick and Welli might struggle.
Edit: Put the mockers on him, 3rd ball after a fall, que ends it bottom inside edge caught by the keeper down low. Dang, with that big score I was hoping for Finn to do his thing, well thats how the leading big hitters bat, rocks or diamonds. Welli should struggle here, 228 is a HUGE score even on Puke park. The run rate is going to climb steep.
Oh dear, now Bracewell has Finn and now Tim Robinson does the same as finn wih the inside edge but this time onto the stumps. Match over in first over.
Edit: W the heck, another inside edge, what is going on, lucky for welli that goes for 4. Oh dear and now another and he edges and out.
This is nuts. Well done CD.
Hard to believe Welli still in this losing 4 early wickets, now 5 down
Welli ahaead by 20 at the same stage but CD were only down 2, Welli down 6 with Bracewell 81 the only hope left. If they can get to 16 overs at 10rpo and not lose a wicket, they are amazingly still in the game.
Edit: M Bracewell skippers innings 101 from 46, has his team very much in this match.
