I agree. In the feeder class he was good, I also liked Lando but he whines too much, both excellent drivers. Lewis has talked of retirement, and he is without a drive next year. :-) I put that down to if he wins another title, which he will, he is alone at the top with 8 titles, then retires. But wants a clause to stay if he wants, perhaps. If Russell excels tomorrow, is there an option to tell Bottas that he has a gap year, drive for Williams to help them along? Lewis retires 2022 Bottas slips back in? Maybe a long shot but there has been many changes recently, and getting a long term future driver in a year earlier is a nice option. Its about the team not the driver
Ding dong race at the moment - it's live if you can get in front of a screen, worth watching.
yeah lol ferarri and even bigger lol at Mercedes!
Awesome race, Russell had it in the bag then it all went to crap. Toto will be dishing out the upper cuts.
Russell showed he can handle himself up front, wonder if this will change his position in 2021?
He is locked into a contract with Williams but that hasn't stopped them making changes in the past if they really want him.
Wonder if Stroll is re-considering Vettel's drive, he is looking very ordinary. Perez must be in with a shot at Redball although id like to see Tsunoda given a shot.
Did Mercedes just do a Ferrari but doing it twice as badly?

Mercedes have learnt from and copied Ferrari, and then added some extras on top of that. Very special!
Perez ... takes out LeClerc and Max to win the race. Respect.

*Was taken out by LeClerc
Yes I read that too but it didn't look like it in real time lol. Need. 2. rewatch. race .... i thought Russell was hands down the winner and then Mercedes happened and that's left me a bit confused the whole day ...
Unlucky, but he ticked every box as I saw it. It was like watching a Hamilton race
Get rid of Lewis Hamilton!
The little things make the biggest difference.
Shindig:

While I understand your sentiments, by far the more likely scenario is they get rid of Bothas.
Russell made Bottas look like a chump, Bottas should have been all over Russell.
I really like the Sainz/Norris paring they are very close in ability, so if one has a bad day the other will usually perform.
Redball have a poor paring as well, Max is a star and they can't find anyone to keep within 0.2 seconds a lap, Alex Albion days a are numbered unless the push him back into the Alphatauri seat, he's going to get the boot in favor of Perez or Tusunoda
Pair up Hamilton and Russell and you'd have a pretty solid combo.

Russell passed Bottas several times, start from second and during the race. There are lots of crack up comments from Russell too, like how do I stop the car, remind me to pit in first garage and not the last I'm used to, where is the overtake button etc. For a guy to perform like that, with that level of uncertainty etc is insane.
Renault vs Mc Laren looks like a battle to watch over the coming years. McLaren chassis with Mercedes engine will hopefully be a return to previous standing for McLaren. Ric moving will either be a good thing or not.
Mercedes though just don't need two great drivers, which is what has made the Hamilton/Bottas pairing work well.
Wasn't always as rosy during the rosberg era.
Albon is gone. There's no home for him back with Gasly so it's Redbull or nothing.
He doesn't need to beat Max, just place (directly) behind him.
Lando seems a bit on and off. He's still young though. He has quite the online/virtual following in social media/streaming etc.
