None of these speculation make sense.
Tsunoda is faster than Ricciardo.
Lawson won't go into the RB directly.
I don't think Perez is getting replaced anytime soon.
Jaxson: Didn’t say it made sense 😂
They just don’t seem to rate Yuki at all.
Maybe he’s tied to Honda and they’re parting ways soon?
Yuki is quite good, but so is everyone else. They put Albon next to Max, then dumped him who then ended up as excellent, out driving the Williams. They could put Lawson next to Max for the second half of the season. Why? He jumped in with no notice and out raced Yuki. At tracks he had not raced on. If he can do that, he can race next to Max to see how it goes, at worst he will score more points than Perez, he will also act as a No.2, obeying everything. He races clean so unlikely to cause his own accident. He will race fast and free. DR seems to be like Perez, goes well when no pressure, folds under pressure. Nothing to lose with Liam, lots potentially to gain. Plus its a fill in for the rest of 2024, when 2025 comes around, they have a lot of good data to bed in RBR and VCARB, possibly go hard and place a talented F3/F2 driver next to Yuki, show us what you can do for a half season after 4 races bedding in. Essentially going back to RBR ways, put drivers in to try them out then dump if need be. Currently they are trying old and wise and it aint working out. In fact its pushing both teams backward.
I also wonder if F1 is so cut throat these days that no driver can handle being a number two? Surely it can't be that hard to say, ok we'll pay Verstappen $50M, we'll pay you $75M to ensure Max and the team wins. ALA Eddie Irivne (who to be fair, was not getting paid anywhere near Schumacher).
Or pay some win bonus to the number two driver. Max won again, here's your cheque Liam.
I just assume that the drivers are so egotistical that they can't do number two?

I know a guy.
“Valtteri, it's James”
Red Bull are trying a pretty radical engine cover on Verstappen's car. Perez will run the standard one in practice.
I don't think they feel super comfortable at all.
Well that was an interesting and fun qualifying

Perez... when it rains it pours for him. Was looking ok in practices and a safe top 10 finish. Then binned it in Q1.
Russel... weird he couldnt get out of Q1. Looked quick in the practices. I guess just couldnt turn the tires on.
McLaren looking good for a double podium. Just depends what Max can do!
See Red Bull are trialling removing those huge cannon things behind the cockpit.
Just watched the driver's parade, amusing to see the Crowdstrike logo prominently on Lewis' shirt.
Wow that was a great race. See how Max behaves when the pressure is on. Its great to see

The turn one thing was rough. Plenty of other drivers with more room get leniency on lap one because "it's lap one".
I don't know whether that set the tone for him or not but he just seemed to have a really bad day in the office - I guess he can't just shut his door and put some music on like the rest of us can, but that move on Hamilton smacked of someone who's head wasn't in the game.
It was never on and he didn't seem to be in control. Although it did seem like Hamilton jinked under braking a little and Max got penalsied for doing that in Austria, so I feel like I can understand why he blew up about it.

Lol. He needs to learn he doesn't have the best car anymore. As regards behaviour I thought Lando was piss poor. Made Max look like a saint. Whining and whining about giving the place back. Ignored him on the podium pretty much. Took the shine of a well deserved win. Lets see how he goes from here with a team mate that has grown in leaps and bounds. And I like Lando and Oscar, as people and drivers. Piss poor
Mercedes seemed to go quiet on strategy pitting earlier
RBR the same, while the car lights up later in the race, to give and undercut and lose 1 second per lap on a track its hard to pass seemed a bit daft. Better to accept McLaren have the best car so stay as close as you can and lets see how the race pans out later on less fuel.
Max and Lewis, I just watched the race so dont know if he got a penalty, he should do. On that GP, when Max was bitching about the crash, said he wont talk about it, it's childish. I assumed at the time he was referring to Max being childish? Can't be Lewis surely as it was a clear Max error.
If that track was easier to pass it would have been a great race, but good to see its closer these days.
RBR will struggle to win the Constructors IMHO, that'd on Horner
Just watched the half hour recap. Prefer the full race but must admit the F1TV longer recap is a good compromise considering the times of most races aren't great here in NZ with work.
Few thoughts.
McLaren do not have the skills and experience of a winning team yet. They're still thinking like a middle team where those sorts of calls don't carry much weight, but pitting Lando early was just dumb given Oscar was in front. Oscar has great starts and Lando isn't good enough there, but Lando is genuinely faster in the race and Oscar tends to over cook his tires. IF Lando had given the place back straight away the win could have been there for him, but he didn't and the team shouldn't have put him in that position in the first place.
Max did a bit of an Alonso, knowing the run off is there if he needs in on lap 1. Was a bit blatant running wise but I think it may have been let slip being turn 1, lap 1. Nice of Red Bull to give it back.
Max in general was red mist today. He's hitting that point where the reality of having a significantly more complete car than others is wearing off. We get one more year of these regs too so that's good for the sport. His move on Hamilton was sloppy, again flying in there all wheels locked up to say I was ahead at the apex when he's not even turning a corner is poor form. Lando did exactly the same when they collided, it's messy. Lewis though did turn into him so it's all messy. Makes for great TV though, expect to see that on Survive to Drive.
Lando, dude just get a good start and grow up a bit. If he'd let Oscar pass he would have had many many laps to catch him again and pass. His sulky approach took that option away from him, so that's on him. Poor Oscar though, maiden win comes after 15 laps of the team pleading for first place way up the track to slow and give the place back. Fully takes the shine off.
Wild rumour, Max to Mercedes?
Oh and what about Perez, binning it again. Yuki made the points, Dan did not.
Jaxson:
Yuki made the points, Dan did not.
Whilst pretty anonymous throughout the race I thought Yuki did pretty amazing for a 1 stop strategy.
Yet another (relative) failure from Ricciardo too.
