I was initially a little surprised to see no announcement around assistants. Having reflected on that, I think it's not unreasonable they might need a few extra days to get things sorted out.

I'd rather they not make rush decisions and get whatever staffing decisions, done correctly.

The review of the review needs time to get excited about.

Weird that people are asking for a recall of TJP. Who is he supposed to replace?

Which of our halfbacks performed so badly, that they aren't needed anymore?

That's of course there are ready and willing replacements immediately available.

There was talk of MacMillan being included at one point. I am assuming it would take more than 5 days to work out what would happen for the Chiefs next season.

Yup, but perhaps in this instance they actually can't say anything.

Ultimately, I don't really care what they say, I care a lot more about what they do.

It's just a shame it's going to take 3 weeks to see what they have achieved :)

There’s nothing that was said today that couldn’t have been said on Saturday or Sunday.

If only NZR had highly paid professional communications people who could schedule conversations with the media. Maybe they could call it a “press conference” and have it the day after the game.

Sure, if they knew that was all that was going to be able to said on Friday.

Not discussing specific changes is fine and was handled ok.

Hiding and not saying anything for a week and then saying what should have been said on Saturday or Sunday is bizarre.

First Test: No coach, All Blacks won easy
