Yes exactly - I was expecting a lot more from Merc in the race.
Laptimes showed that everyone has progressed, and Mercedes probably have as well, but stifled by their car design. Their development ceiling will be lower then elsewhere
afe66: So I thought it would be interesting to see how the sky as provider would go. Booking on musky fine.
Online experience not so, thought I'd watch the f2 sprint while kids in bath but couldn't find any race except for F1 - bugger.
Then watched half of the race before going to work with intension of catching rest of race online but not listed... Highlights are but not the actual race.
Might have to look at F1 app.
I used the f1tv.com subscription and watched it via multiviewer on the PC this morning. It was great having the main window, track position window and tire usage window open at the same time. This year they also have individual car camera streams so you can choose a favourite and have a permanent view of it. It was simple to sync all streams together too. Spark was a good viewing experience but this is better and leap years ahead of skygo.

A good opening race of the season, have had a lot on here in Hawke's Bay to distract me recently so missed out on the discount offer on F1TV unfortunately, but still well worth the price paid for the season.
Early days of course but looking ominous for RBR's competition I think. Great to see another team in the frame for podiums.
I also wonder if the two guys reflecting on their recent decisions this morning might be Seb and Piastri. Hope Alonso's got Seb on his Christmas card list.

i don't know man, it's the same car as last year isn't it.
i think Seb didn't got it no more. he was scrapping with Lance on the track all year. his soul was destroyed by Ferrari.

It's a standalone app that was mentioned earlier in the thread. https://multiviewer.app/
It requires an f1tv subscription.

Im an RBR fan so I'm happy, but im more happy that there are 4 top teams not just 3 that run 1-2-3 over the course of the season.
Oscar, yep, but he has a seat. Lando looked great when lapped and behind Merc, he waste left behind, IMHO they have room to improve, and they will have more wind tunnel time
F1 TVPro App is a bit crap, frozen video then failed to load completely.
Did the old clear cahce and data in settings, then uninstall and full re-install. It worked initially then stopped shortly after. I'm using a firestick 4K max with a native app so no reason it shouldnt work.
Had to load on PC and HDMI to TV, seemed to work fine via the Chrome browser but would prefer to use the app in the firestick.
Anyone else having issue with F1 TV app?
Using f1 TVPro app on Apple TV was great for all weekend from practice to race
I used the android app to cast a practice session to the chromecast, worked ok.

Damn didn't realise that would time out!

I had a vague idea that it was limited time only and that it would end, I probably expected they would continue to run the offer right up to the first race weekend rather than end of testing or whatever it was. But, like I said, even at 100 clams it's a good deal when I'm not interested in signing up to Sky again.
To answer the other recent question, I'm running F1TV through my Nvidia Shield plugged into a Panasonic TV. The telly's only 1080P I think so I'm not trying to run it at higher resolutions but it's been going just fine for me. The only "problem" I'm having so far is Alex Jacques as the principal race commentator. Not really a huge fan of him from when he was doing the F2. Did seem to tone it down a bit during the first race though, so maybe it will work out. Nice to have DC as part of the commentary team this year too.
Hope you guys with F1TV have got your entry in for the Aussie GP trip? Just a day to go to enter I think and, if I don't win, would be good if someone here got the prize.
wratterus: You do know you can switch to the international feed for the Sky Sports UK commentary right?
