Maybe wrong but I believe there’s only one feed - so all viewers get English only, including the McIvor-effect.

Yes, and they come at annoying moments.

On the live feed (obviously) you miss whatever is happening.

I've been watching the race replays on YT though, and they've been good.

Unsure about the full broadcast, but the individual races do not. Initially they were only given g about 30 seconds before the start. But have that solved now.

I download those into Plex. What I don’t get is a post race interview.

yeah. I'm not too fussed by it. Means I just get the action. Youtube also has a 10 min recap for each race - for if you have a short attention span

Yep live here. During pre show TV ads for Toyota etc, the stream is on music and cup background. Then go live when the commentary/videos start as the TV cuts to it too.

Ever so slightly delay offsets.

Yeah, that popped up on my feed on Sunday, so I watched it.
I thought I'd seen it, but I hadn't. It was a good watch.

I'd love to see them to a similar thing for the 2003-2020 (and hopefully 2024) 'era'. Loss of the core team, rebuilding and introducing foiling to the AC and 'that' loss from 8-1 up in 2013.

No, neither will I. I can even remember saying to my wife when Oracle got to 8-3 that we wouldn't win another one.

Happily, I can also remember exactly where I was when TNZ won in Bermuda. That was a good day :)

I remember when Dennis Conner was being interviewed by Paul Holmes and when asked if he would apologize to somebody (not sure whom) he stormed out of the interview!

I dislike McIvor too but grudgingly think his yachting knowledge isn't too bad - it's his inane other comments I find cringey. He keeps stating the blindingly obvious and repeating it. As @throbb says, he just says stupid stuff. Eg. in the days well before the end of the LV final, before and many times during each race, he kept repeating "This is a must-win race for the Italians" - even if it was 3-2 and 4-3. Just crap - those simply weren't must-win situations at all. The only must-win for them was before the last race when it was 6-4.

Maybe I'm too picky but I find him grating.

Its like that in a lot of sports, someone has to be a sporttainment person

It was Paul Holmes' first show. He asked him if he felt a need to apologise to Bruce Farr and the people of New Zealand after DC (who I think was drunk) told Farr to get off the stage at the press conference after the 1988 'Big Boat' challenge in San Diego. Called him a loser and a piece of Sh*t too I think.

Pretty sure Holmes knew what was going to happen - great way to start your show in the 7pm time slot.

I hear that Tom Brady, who is being paid millions to be a NFL colour person, is not being received that well. Just because you know the sport doesn't mean you are a good colour commentator.
