Jaxson:

Mercedes have just turned up with a basically completely different back half of the car, with incredibly narrow side pods that make the car dramatically more streamlined overall.

From what I saw, its a bit slippy in the rear, and porpoises more then most others. OTOH who knows, sandbagging heaven

Does F1TV Pro have F2 and F3 races? I see there is a 1 year intro price of $79, that's $6.67 per month. Is that right can us kiwis subscribe to that?

Sparksport has nothing else of interest so this could be right my ally.

Im guessing spark sport doesn't have exclusive rights to broadcast F1 in NZ.

I clicked Subscribe and it seems to mention only F1?

I just checked my F1TV Pro (via Spark Sport sub) and that has everything. Spark Sport doesn't have the tests now, possibly as F1TV Pro does

So Im unsure based on the Subscribe link above if NZ non Spark Sport F1TV Pro has F2/3. Might pay to contact them and ask?

Now non Spark F1TV Pro is looking doubtful.

F1 replays are also available in some countries, including Canada. Replays of F1, F2, F3 and Porsche Supercup events are all available two days after the races have finished.

Once again it varies from region to region. In some countries you can watch F2, F3 and Porsche Supercup replays, generally two days after the race has finished, but check your local region. They are available in NZ.

You would need a VPN to sign up and watch F1TV, we only get it via Spark Sport agreement but at the moment Spark Sport have the domestic rights.  Essentially F1TV is a bonus for us subscribers.

I don't think you need a VPN to access F1TVPro, (that used to be the case). I have asked them if i can sign up without a Sparksport subscription and if i get instant access to F1, F2 and F3 replays.

Scary to see how different they are. If it works could well give them the edge, but it’s a risk for them cooling wise.

Could be keen on this too.

Please let us know how they respond to your enquiry about signing up direct, completely unrelated and separate to Spark Sport.

It works ok, quality is very good, a bit clunky though. Couple of times as I paused and switched to Sky, went back, and it seemed to unpause minutes before I paused it. Couple of times I went back and and got the subscribe screen, so it logged me out. Shut the app down, opened it, all good, didnt need to re log in again. The odd time it goes really fuzzy. It came right or it didnt. Restarted the app all good. Plus the thumbnails have no red line to show that its been partly viewed.

So, a but clunky, but end of the day it works and works fine most of the time.

This is the ATV4 app

Enjoying the testing. The cars are not easy to drive, its a far cry from being on rails, video game driving, the drivers have to use all their skills, including patience. That will help some and hinder others.

The HP will probably be just a relatively minor benefit now. Martin B reckons there will be a raft of changes over the first 6 races, something Ive already suggested. Quali, well, anything can happen there, its one thing managing a car for 300km than for one key lap. Mistakes, lockups, anything can happen if the driver becomes the key component now.

RBR looks great, top test time, and thats including one yellow sector. 7/10 could have been a full second. More so, they ironed out the porpoising. Ferrari remains consistent and solid, and quick. Mercedes has the worst porpoising according to Brundle.
