Hey I've just got a question to ask,

Why do NZ Warriors Rugby League Jerseys cost $180 Brand New?

I've seen Black Caps shirts go for $10-20. And they're doing better than the Warriors, so what's the justification for the high price?

Serious question. Wink

Prices are probably dictated by the NRL rather than the Warriors.

$10-20 wouldn't be the retail price for an authentic branded top. If so, where?
I also wouldn't say that the BC are much better than the warriors in terms of performance.

Yeah ive always found it to be quite expensive. I suppose $180/$200 in itself isn't a heap of money, but I don't think I would spend that much on a shirt unless I was rich.

black caps can not be 10-20 bucks ... must be a fake, or a serious clearout of old stock!

In 2009 when the Warriors had a terrible season I managed to pick up a genuine shirt at the end of the season for closer to $100. Fingers crossed they'll be on clearance again at the end of this season. Only good thing about a crap season is cheap merch.

thats pretty standard for an NRL jersey - they cost the same in australia for local teams.

As has been said you will see cheaper stock as they clear out at the end of the year.

If someone paid me $180, maybe I would wear it - for a couple of hours at max though.

They are pricing for what the market will bear, and milking the fans for every cent they can. If they can jack prices up to this level and the fans will still pony up, then that's what they will do. If you don't like it, don't buy.
