I love Simon Mannering, hes in our top 2 best forwards hands down. Now I dont know what goes on behind closed doors, but on field, hes always seemed to soft on them to me.

I said we needed to replace Cappy and hire Toovey (while hes still available), well the ultimate in not holding your tongue back would be Toovey and Hoffman = InstaPremiership. Im looking forward to it either way, shouts of "get up ya mug, those fans in the seats get paid 1/5th of what you do", based on what hes already said about some of them thinking they are professional footy players but not acting like it.

Im really chuffed to see Simon captain us for the last time in his home town, we are going to cream the dragons.

It's a defining year for the Cappy and the Warriors.  It's been a long time (if ever) since they've had team with this much talent and depth.

Hopefully the removal of the captaincy will be a good thing for Mannering. As a player he's really come into his own over the last few years and without the weight of captaincy he could become the second coming of Steve Price for another 5 or 6 years.

i agree. and if hoffmans happy to speak his mind i say all good. johnson is clearly frustrated with the level of effort. him and hoffman were the only ones talking last year.

mannering is the in the warriors top 2 forwards with big ben imo.

definitely the best team we have ever had on paper.

and yep if cappy dont make the 4 with this team i think hes looking for a new career.

Oh man, warriors playing basically their starting squad in the pre season against the dragons and getting belted.

Did I mention Toovey was available? (I presume)

Long frustrating season ahead me feels.

If Toovey ever comes here I'm sending back my season tickets.  And I've been there since 95.

Early days.  The comp is very even and very long.

It's all about peking at the right time.  Wayne Bennet is a master at ensuring is peaking just as the final are about to start.  Ivan Cleary was very good too.  Hopefully Cappy can do similar.

Yeah I wouldnt worry too much really. Not going to lie, its not a good result, but only trials, not bothered personally.

I dunno, we played our full strength team at home against a pretty weakish team and we got smashed. Sure its just a pre season, but a very bad sign.

Anyone got Tooveys number? lol

Well we are soon going to find out how the players respond to him.

One thing is for sure, Shaun Johnson wont choke on a drop goal like Ben "over rated" Hunt!
