I just watched our men's hockey team lose to Germany (2 x defending champions) after leading 2-0 with 6 minutes to go. Courtesy of two Penalty Corners and a yellow card, the Germans scoring their final goal as the clock ticked past 1 second to go, to win 3-2.
After Val Adams having the gold snatched away at the last second on Saturday, I wonder how many more times this will happen. I know it is just the way sport is, but heart breaking for the athletes all the same.

That was heartbreaking.

Also sat and watched, at the start.. I jinxed it with saying it would end with a nill all shootout. Or penalty loss. Sure enough, called it.

They fluffed the last quarter.  Completely lost their way defensively, then tried silly tricks around slowing the play down which in Hokey you can NEVER get away with.  They were most definitely their own worst enemy!
