In my mind, this morning's Champions League QF between Bayern & Barcelona was the 2 teams that should have met in the final. I anticipated a tight, pulsating match between the two, probably coming down to whomever of the Lewandowski - Messi match up had the better game.

So much for my pre-game analysis. 8-2? You are kidding me. The biggest loss of Messi's entire career. German teams dismantling Latin champions on the biggest stage is starting to become a habit...

Barcelona is an on off team - sometimes they are in sleep mode - it's a Spanish thing. Watched a few cycling races where Spanish teams threw away wins because of lack of thoughtful preparation and planning.

Germans however they are machines.

if he scored the winner in a tight match that would be devastating but you can put a schoolboy in there today and he will score - so, nah it didn't tickle barca one bit. they were having a siesta today the whole team.
