It is worth remembering as well that the number of Elite members has grown significantly over the past couple of years, especially when they gave Elite to lots of Westpac credit card customers.

 

 

 

 

They did? My wife got the Westpac World Mastercard  when they swapped over but no Elite status! She'll be bummed when I tell her that!

Westpac gave Elite as a bribe literally to thousands of customers to convince them to switch from BNZ to Westpac at the time of the card launch.

 

I'd really love to know data on how the card is going for them because I know huge numbers of people including myself signed up for the freebie benefits incl triple points and then cancelled after a year when they wouldn't waive the card fees.
