Iv always wanted to go korea and having a direct flight probably convinces me all the more to go,

Hello Holiday

I have flown AKL to ICN direct return on Korean Airlines

I've got a trip to ICN coming up in September, so to early for the direct Air NZ flights. How was Korean Air?

Korean airlines have had a daily direct flight to Incheon/Seoul for years.

Always had great service when the wife and I have used them (though we went business).

Really great to fly via Seoul to Europe as they dont always have a connecting flight that same day from Seoul - so when that happens they put you up in a really nice Hotel, arrange the transfers, Feed you etc and the next morning after a nice breakfast, you get taken back to the airport. The hotels are usually only about 1 km away. Found it really good to unwind, stroll around and get a good nights sleep before the ongoing part of the trip. They do this for economy flights to Europe too.

Thanks very interesting review.  Even more appealing with the hotels so close to the airport.

Korean Air have always had a direct flight I think - or maybe that was only seasonal?

Years ago Korean Air had a B747 flight from Christchurch.   Not sure if it was seasonal, via Australia, or direct.  I only remember because a Korean couple asked me to take a photo of them with the plane in the background!  In the days when CHC had the observation deck.

The outside observation deck at CHC was the business!!
