I was just wondering what everyones experiences with paper passport application processing times was. It's a child application sent on Sunday 24th Feb but I didn't get a confirmation email until the 2nd March. Using the standard service.

That's phenomenally quick. Try doing something as basic as getting a visa to a different country, for somewhere like the US it can take six to twelve months, and there's no way to get into a queue, you just have to keep going back to the web site every day to check.

Depends on the country. E-visas are increasingly common. Somewhere like India you can get a multiple visit visa valid for a year in 12-24 hours.

I recently got a Renewal Passport via standard service. Applied online on a Sunday. Got email confirmation Thursday that it was on its way. Received it Friday Morning. Nice and quick. Great Service.

Pretty sure mine was around a week from application to receiving in the post.

Bit odd. Funds were withdrawn from my account on the 28th of Feb didn't get an email saying they got it until the 2nd of March.

I applied online for my renewal on Friday 28 Feb, and just got the email today to say it was dispatched with target delivery of tomorrow - 11/03. This appears slower than most of the previous responses but I don't actually need it until May so not really concerned.
