Which is interesting, as there is a jetstar flight about to land in NZ, which will enjoy the benefits of the bubble.. But the flight took off around the time the notification was made of the flights stopping.

Which suggests per the points above, they should have earned themselves a free 2 week stay in MIQ...

Yes, we are talking about different things. Your comments are re MIQ, my comments follow up on my initial post that its risky to travel at the moment if you don’t have family in Aus/Cooks as it could end up costing you way extra money (and time) if you get stuck in a bubble suspension. A weekend away in Aus could end up as weeks in Aus forking out for unplanned hotel costs (+ other costs).

Just like I said above there is now no option to return to NZ from NSW so nobody will be paying for MIQ in NZ.

So I'd personally want an insurance policy that would cover the two day delay due to changes. Ideally one that would also organise the accommodation so I don't need to worry about it.
