scuwp: Can't you manage bookings directly through their app or web page, including changing and cancelling flights?

I need to reschedule a flight from March to November. Their online system will only allow me to push it out as far as October.

I am dreading having to call them to sort this out.

dazhann:

You can cancel flights online at Air NZ. Be warned you'll only get credit if its a flexifare. They have stopped giving credits, due to covid disruptions, for standard tickets for local flights. So its still go, even though event is canceled or change to another date. They charge  you to do this

FYI they are offering another round of flexibality

"Additionally due to the latest change in the COVID-19 Protection Framework, announced by the NZ government on Sunday 23 January 2022, we are offering credit flexibility for existing NZ domestic bookings made before 11:59pm 23 January 2022, for travel between 24 January and 13 March 2022."

Funny how it's a four hour plus round trip of his tine to get his money back, when they were happy to take it online within minutes...

i didn't realise it's a 4 hr round trip for Mr Geek

i think he has a few petrol/diesel powered toys maybe take a joyride?

Sorry i can't think of any other solution if they won't answer the phone. Most other organizations give you the option of a timed call back.

Unfortunately Ive changed them already. One was for this weekend, Violent Femmes, canceled. The other, for Kings of Leon, is after the cut off date anyway. Easy way to get rid of $100

dont want to start another thread.

anyone would have an idea what will be easiest option for the following: air nz booking flying 2 people. I want to cancel another person ticket, can't do that online.

 - should I try to call Air NZ and ask them to cancel one person ticket and credit my account
 - should I just request credit for entire booking and book separate ticket for myself only?

Have you tried Oscar (AirNZ chatbot)?  I've never tried it but it might be worth a crack.
