So about 3ish today i look up in the sky and see a glider coming towards me. a bit lower than usual as we're a bit off the usual glider approaches......

but then i hear a jet engine...on the glider.

i took a better look and for all intense purposes it looked like one of those military drones...

anyone else see it today or before anywhete else

Strikemaster72 and another resident BACs have been known to scoot around those parts on aerobatic sorties.

However to confuse things - If it wasn't a jet engine but a glider, and the prop was on top. Nothing out of the ordinary :) Theres a bunch of self-propelling ones with a pop-up prop that are able to keep cranking altitude to stay up

/edit ha. Turns out theres bolt on turbines that do the same
