I am holidaying Australia with a party of four.  Cell phones is not merely a nice to have but a responsibility. As a minimum two of us bought roaming data packs from our New Zealand Carrier.  Viber Watsap etc

SUCKAs

Current Coles AU$10 Sim and starter would have given much better value.

The Optus has a 10 day expiry to put some people off but, bloody, the NZ roaming 300Mb pack is only good for 7 days and retains the classic got ya of promising to gobble up all your remaining credit at 50c a Meg.

Optus network: 3G (UMTS 900MHz/2100MHz) and/or 4G Plus (FDD LTE 700 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 /TD LTE 2300 MHz).

Correct me if I am wronk.

Graeme

Optus has a $2 / day SIM that gives you 500 Meg data  / day and unlimited Ozzy minutes.   Calling home to NZ was from memory about 5c / min.

ZollyMonsta: Check out amaysim

Looks like they're ditched their draconian data session rounding so might be usable now.

Last time I used amaysim about 2 years ago the counter on my phone showed around 200MB over a 2 day weekend yet I chewed through an entire 1GB data pack.
