Starting today, you can search on Google for flights to a destination by searching for things like “Flights to Wellington” or “Flights to Australia”. Or, you can go directly to google.co.nz/flights to quickly and easily compare and book flights in $NZD — from your mobile device, tablet or desktop.

Have been using Google flights, booked 8 trans-Tasman flights over the next couple of months, prices down to $137 (Chch / Sydney).

 

So long as you remember to cancel the reminder setting once you've booked flights, seems to work well.  Otherwise you'll get an inbox full of price change notices - sometimes several per day for each flight / date booking you'd been looking for.

 

Once you click "book flights" it gives options to book direct with airline, or via Expedia, with comparative pricing.  Closest Expedia got to the airline prices was about $3 per flight, but usually much more.
