We have just come back from Hawaii and found goods slightly higher than what we have found on the mainland but given their location that is understandable. As mentioned, shoes, some clothing, sunscreen ( half the price I sell Neutrogena UV for) and vitamins if you are into them.

Enjoy the USA!

State or DC?

If DC, consider heading up to NY for a couple of days and going to Woodbury Common for outlet shopping, and BH Photo for electronics.

Unfortunately to state. I have heard about ny outlet stores. They are good. Something i found really annoying is tgeir sales tax on top of the advertised price... arghhh..

Everything everywhere in the state is plus tax, means national advertising can be done as each state has different tax rates

Ive been there many times. Walmart for anything different, outlet store, then I'd flag it and take in Taco Bell and activities.

Oregan, next to Washington State, has no sales tax. People travel to Portland from Seattle to shop. Portland is awesome anyway.

Check out Ross/Marshalls Stores for some clothing bargains. They are everywhere.

Outlet malls in Waikele, Oahu, HI.

I *hate* shopping and getting dragged by the nose through malls but make an exception for this one. Have everything (apart from the mega sports barn which closed down) and I can get about 2 year's worth of shopping done in a day and not have to darken a shop doorstep for two years.
