In the next few days, we're travelling into Changi on Air New Zealand and then onto Hanoi using Singapore Airlines .  Just wondering what is the best lounge for our 3 1/2 hour stopover -  travelling business class.  I think we arrive at T3 then fly out from T2.

If anyone has any experiences, keen to know etc

Many thanks

I think your only option is probably the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge. You can access the (better) SilverKris Lounge as an Elite but only on NZ or SQ metal between SIN and AKL/CHC.

Bit confused here. Does his status have any relevance when he is flying Business Class?

Thanks

Yes it does.. with my example above bring just one relevant reason.

There are a number of other examples I could give where lounge access is determined by status, not the class of travel.

Thanks. I always thought that when you travelled Business you got Lounge Access as part of the deal

Hong Kong is another example as well - because of the NZ/CX alliance NZ Elite and Gold customers get access to the CX lounges at HKG. Koru and BP customers will only get access to the Thai lounge, while NZ (or other) *G customers to get the choice of the TG, UA or SQ lounges.

OK - Presumably though given that we are travelling business class with Singapore Airlines from Changi to Hanoi, we will be able to access the SilverKris lounge?  Or have I got this wrong.

thanks

There are lounges for those "only" travelling business class ... and then there are first class lounges, and super first class lounges. Don't know what's in there ... never been in.

Business class = Silverkris lounge regardless of status.

Krisflyer Gold lounge is for anyone not flying business class that has status. NZ elites flying economy or premium economy get access to the SilverKris lounge to NZ only.

I've flown NZ business class then SQ economy on separate tickets and still had access. NZ were kind enough to check bags the whole way through. Silverkris lounge agents didn't even blink at it. That was just luck as should have been the Krisflyer gold lounge.
