Have also posted this in Travel Talk

Off to Bali on Monday. I need to replace my venerable iPad2 with the latest 2018 iPad6, A10cpu, 32Gb. Does any of the duty free shops at Auckland airport have these?

Sorry I dont know but know your prices before you go, not everything in duty free is cheaper, often electronics are more expensive.

Sorry, can't confirm they are available. There is only a small offering of technology in Auckland duty free. Pretty poor really.

As above, do your research first. I was in the market for a new MacBook Pro earlier this year. I kept an eye on duty free in Auckland and Sydney as I travel regularly. Ended up picking one up from PBTech during a sale for a better price than I could get duty free.

Thanks to Adam in the Travel Talk forums. Have ordered & paid for a iPad Gen6 A10/M10 WiFi  32Gb from JR NZ Duty Free for airport collection on Monday morning and have received all the paperwork for said collection.

Cor Blimey! 2Gb ram compared to my iPad2 512Mb. My app’s & eBooks wont know what has hit them 🙂

Anyway RRP $539, duty free $468

It has served me well for 7 years and will be retired to a local low decile school.

Cheers
