Only for NZ residents and citizens I expect. Much the same as at present, with a two week quarantine and health check.
Because NZ has changed its goal from flattening the curve to elimination of the virus, I can’t see foreign nationals being allowed any time soon, even with two weeks of quarantine. And even then it’s only likely to be Aussies initially (maybe July?).
Ask the PM during one of her Facebook chats. Anybody else will just be guessing (like me).

sbiddle: Your question needs a lot more context and specifics.
There are plenty of international flights both arriving and leaving Auckland every day.
Where do you want to fly to?
Hi Sbiddle
China Airline going to Taiwan?
thanks
Jacky
Yes, China Airlines are flying to Taiwan in June. Took me 2 minutes on the China Airlines website to (almost) book a ticket.

Im assuming outbound travel to Taiwan will be determined by the Taiwanese government and reflected in the China Airlines website. And any restrictions will be placed by them. Bearing in mind the current state of the virus in NZ and Taiwan there may be hope for travel (with restrictions) sooner than to some other parts of the world. If you are an NZ citizen, you should be able to return to NZ (with the required quarantine).

Just because you can but a ticket does not mean flight will be running then. I was able to buy tickets in March for travel in April but the flight wouldve been cancelled. I think there is zero chance of flying to Taiwan in June, especially with a transfer in mainland China.

True first there would need to be agreement and satisfaction on both NZ and Taiwan side to make moves for travel without quarantine.
Direct Flights would be the way, and China airlines being Taiwan airline has no need to go via mainland China and has had direct flights I understand.
I have seen EVA Air here as well in the past.

Then there may be Air NZ that has operated Direct Taiwan flights before, plus all the other possibilities.
Via Australia if there is Australia Bubble by then.
That will also provide more cargo space for our exports , i expect the limited freight only flights might be putting rates up a lot.

there is a flight, Southern China Airlines, leaving for Guangzhou tonight May 10, at 10:00pm.
thanks for the reply guys, but please, China Airline is totally different to the China Airline and China Southern,
China Airline is the main airline for Taiwan
China Southern and Air China are the airline for China....
thanks

Of course, the post about Southern China is to illustrate that there are international flights flying to China - it is in response to another post above.
To confirm - China Airline (the national airline for Taiwan) is flying in June from Auckland to Taipei. This flight has left everyday in May so far. The flightpath is Qantas to Sydney, 2.5hr transit, then China Airline (the national airline for Taiwan) from Sydney to Taipei.
You should do your own due diligence about visa and any quarantine requirements and obligations - but there are flights available.
Yes, buyer beware. Are you allowed to transit in Aus as an NZ resident if leaving NZ to a 3rd Country (Taiwan)?

Btw, can you please explain to me in terms of the government definition – Trans Tasman bubbles. My understanding is we should able be travel to Australia without those 14 days restriction.
So can I take a flight to Australia and transit and take another airline? or is it just purely Australia and NZ travel only?
Thank you very much
Jacky
