As foreign travel is almost impossible as the moment, we need to get away for a few days. And being former Aucklanders, then staying at a the Hilton hotel sounds good as long as its NOT being used to isolate COVID19 travellers.

Does anyone have any recent experience of the Hilton and can confirm its Covid19 status?

Not on the list:

Note that offshore air crew isolate in hotels of the airlines choosing rather than isolation facilities, so (especially near airports) there is a risk that you will end up staying in the same hotel as offshore based international air crew.

You'll know if it's a MIF (Managed Isolation Facility) because you won't be able to book any rooms!

The Park Hyatt has just opened in Auckland and could be a nice option too

As great as GZ is, I’m not sure this is the best place to get info on a subject that should be literally of vital importance to you. If someone says ‘yeah it’s fine’ are you really just going to go there? Maybe you could ring the hotel and ask them what is their COVID status.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
