Annoyingly I can't seem to find anywhere that lists which hotels offer late checkout.
Anyone know of any, preferably not bank breaking ones. I don't mind paying slightly more to sleep in till 2 after a big night out, but not moonbeams.

Phone a couple you have eyed up. I imagine most will entertain our request, especially if bookings are looking thin the following day.
Did a quick search.
Old info, but corpthorne did offer late checkout (1:30pm) for $60 at some point.
Be aware that some hotels won't be able to confirm if a late checkout is available until the evening before (especially if want to wake up at 2pm and leave at say 3pm...)
pih: Make some quick enquiries with AirBnB hosts. As a host myself I can say that many of them will be fine with late check-out so long as it's quiet season, not too late and/or the next guest isn't expected until later.
But imo 2-3pm (wake up at 2, leave at what time?) is a very late check-out: you could be limiting bookings for the following night, because that's the very tail end of many regular cleaners' hours in hospitality, and by the time it's cleaned and ready for the next guest it could be 5pm or later. Many people like to check in early Ok for some hosts, but others may be uncomfortable with it. I'd ask for no later than 1pm check-out if you want a reasonable response.
2 is definitely the ideal but anything after 12 would do at a pinch.

2pm is quite late for a hotel - unless you have good status with a chain you're not going to get anything close to that, and even then you'll be lucky to get past 1pm.
The only recommendation would be to buy InterContinental Ambassador which gives you 4pm checkout at the InterContinental, but if that's not the sort of level you're planning to spend on accommodation it's not going to be a very good solution.
I've only paid for late checkout once before, which was $50 to stay till 2pm at Rydges. Their room rates for the date I next want to stay is quite steep however, I try to stay under $200 a night base rate, I'm pretty sure the intercontinental is a fair bit more than that lol..

If you have good status hotels can be accommodating, but if you don't they really don't care..

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.
