I'm off to the UK in early August and we're transiting via Australia (Melbourne on the way there and Sydney on the way back). Do I need to fill in Australia's Digital Passenger Declaration if we're only transiting through, spending 4 hours in the terminal and never leaving the airport?

So many people were caught out by this when I flew to Melbourne last month.

It was also the same for my flight from LA to NZ, but NZ was worse because they were manually checking the submission, so not something you wanted to do at the airport 2hrs before the flight.  At least with AU they were still giving the option of a paper form, but you ran the risk of a delay once you arrived.

@MurrayM  No!  😀

The rules changed today.  These are uncertain times, my recommendation is to check back often for all destinations.

I am currently in Australia at the moment, when I at the Auckland airport, they did said they want to have a look at it, but when i arrived to the Sydney airport especially if you going thru the e-passport, nobody checked that digital pass at the Australia side.

Yes, as I also heard the news since monday, they have already indicating to move out the vaccination certificate this week.

Regards
Jacky
