This is never a fruitful discussion, but in general, emitting a few thousand tons to save billions of tons is a worthwhile tradeoff.

Then maybe you shouldn't be told what the outcome of the congress is... My understanding is that Nothing changed

So a few million tonnes to save 0 tonnes as it is, per my understanding. Could be wrong.

I don't think that's correct at all. They've been talking about massive compensation for impacted countries, which is quite significant.

Political progress is always slow, but COP has been fairly good if a bit aspirational, and this sort of thing is always best done in person as a lot of progress is made in the hallways.

So they've reallocated some of the money from climate change, but not addressed the cause. And here I thought it was all about saving the planet, not $$$$$

OK? I'm obviously not directly involved in determining the funding, maybe you have a better line on that.

I'm more about not letting perfect be the enemy of good. Any progress is better than none, and I'm still hopeful for my kids.

Why do they travel around the globe in private jets? Why not attend by teleconference? Or if they have to be there in person, why not travel by scheduled airline?

Because they are "do as I say not as I do" virtue-signaling hypocrite elites. A pox upon their houses.

Because they have no interest in doing it themselves. You drive your electric car so that I can fly in my private jet. Next, I use your money that make me rich to pay the carbon tax and make more money from you. Done deal.

Meanwhile, y'all keep driving your Nissan Leafs and slog 9-5 to bring more money to the capitalists. Not to say it isn't real, but only as long as you make them richer and buy more jets, then yeah they all in, go for it. They'll help you stop climate change and make themselves richer at the same time. Funny thing is both parties feel good at the end of the day.
