Both sides are the same, because the outcome for us American workers and voters is the same.  Everyone knows Trump lies, everyone knows politicians look after themselves before voters.

There's a reason why the biggest voting bloc are non-voters, who know there is no difference.

I like trying to be able to identify policy differences between the 2 parties:

Seems to me you make the choice between the lesser of two evils, and avoid the one that upsets every country and leader he deals with, and the ones he doesnt deal with just shake their heads in disbelief

Only 3 data "points of difference"?
You haven't even got those right, both sides are "pro guns", one is (or used to be) more closely associated with an organisation that would be happy to allow kindergarten children to play with AR15s.

If you think there are more than 3 points of difference in policies, then try to name them.

Biden is running on "gun control"

Fred99:

It's amazing how Biden's been able to get away with committing the felony of advising democrat voters to vote twice - a mail-in vote and at a polling booth.

No wait - that actually happened but was Trump - telling republican voters in NC to commit electoral fraud.  The POTUS who's tweeted dozens of times in full caps " LAW & ORDER!"

That's the problem I have when @nathan claiming that both sides are corrupt thus "the same". They are, but the differences in the scale and number of crimes are incomparable.

The thing is why did he say that about North Carolina which has been fairly solidly republican since the the late 60's? It only voted D twice since then, 1976 and 2008. All he could possibly achieve is have a bunch of votes for him thrown out from his own supporters voting twice. This could potentially bring the state in to play for the democrats if enough of his supporters do as he says and vote twice leading to their votes being invalidated in the final tally. Then his supporters would possibly be prosecuted for election fraud.

I think its for

  • scare voters away from in-person voting because of COVID
  • confuse the population between absentee vs mail-in votes
  • make Rep voters question mail-in vote result, which will likely come weeks after election night
  • sowing the seeds of narrative around voter fraud, then a massive legal fight for the Presidency over mail-in ballots, think reverse Bush vs Gore in Florida.  Imagine if Dem governor of battleground state Michigan certifies results against Trump, or Rep governor of battleground Florida certifies results against Biden...

the context of the speech included "if it is not tabulated".  So you vote in person if you're mailin vote isn't counted, by checking the electronic poll book.

Maybe a picture is worth a thousand words.

"Republican patriots have nicer trucks" is not the title:

I think @nathan, something's put you in such a strange place in the Overton window that you're at risk of defenestration. Sure you want to get rid of the guys who'll throw you out, but also the only guys who might be able to catch your fall.

This Venn may have been closer to accurate during Clinton's run. Even then, pretty inaccurate.

At the present time for Biden/Harris the difference in health policy alone breaks your graph entirely.

Perhaps the point of the graph is to try to convince people not to vote?

Biden's Medicare policy. Lowering Medicare eligibility from 65 to 60 is a big one. I've read elsewhere Biden intends to fund the age change from general taxation and not the Medicare specific fund. Although Biden"s preference is to expand the ACA this opens another door, simultaneously.

Also in there, state funded continuation of employer health insurance if you lose a job because of covid.
