Joe Biden & Kamala Harris on live stream. (I have no problem with politicians using teleprompters. I do have a problem when they use scripts & teleprompters to create the impression of a live interview.)

The first words out of her mouth - lies : "after the most competitive primary process in history, there was a resounding result the answer is Joe"

The elections were neither competitive or the result resounding. Revisionist history is revisionist

nathan: Revisionist history is revisionist

Says the biggest revisionist on here. Everything you say is calculated to sow discord. It doesn't matter that you also rip into Trump to create an illusion of non-partisanship.

Frankly, I don't give a damn if Biden resorts to tricks. I don't care if he bribes the entire electorate. I don't care if he uses fake videos to appear articulate. I don't care what he does as long as he gets rid of Trump! If he lies, cheats, steals and kills to achieve that, it is still an improvement over what that sad country has today!

Name a revisionist thing I've said?

It's not Bidens tricks, it's the DNC.

But why shoot the messenger? The establishment is sowing the discord by their actions. I'm simply reporting and commenting on them.

If your only source of information is the mainstream media or cable news networks, you'd believe Joe won the Primaries fair and square.

@nathan let's make this clear then: you have no problem with Trump winning a second term? Do you want Trump to win a second term? Do you support Trump's current policies?

BBC News -  US Election 2020 - Joe Biden and Kamala Harris say Trump has left US 'in tatters'

today

What did Harris say?

Coming to the podium, Ms Harris said: "I am ready to get to work." ...

"America is crying out for leadership, yet we have a president who cares more about himself than the people who elected him.

"He inherited the longest economic expansion in history from Barack Obama and Joe Biden."

"And then, like everything else he inherited, he ran it straight into the ground."

"This is what happens when we elect a guy who just isn't up to the job - our country ends up in tatters, and so does our reputation around the world." ...

Ouch!  😮

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

So the American voters are expected to forget about Tara Reade because Donald Trump has treated women equally badly? That appears to be what mainstream media in the USA has decided.

This is a Donald Trump thread, not a Biden thread.

As already mentioned, there's a Biden thread.

HARRIS’S APPROVAL RATING SOARS AFTER TRUMP REMINDS NATION HOW “NASTY” SHE WAS TO KAVANAUGH

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Senator Kamala Harris saw her approval rating soar on Tuesday after Donald J. Trump reminded the American people that she had been “nasty” to Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings.

In interviews across the country, voters expressed gratitude to Trump for reminding them that Harris had been responsible for one of their favorite televised moments in recent history.

“When Trump said that she had been ‘nasty’ to Kavanaugh, I had to go to YouTube and relive that glorious event,” Carol Foyler, who lives in Springfield, Missouri, said. “It really holds up.”

Harland Dorrinson, who lives in Wichita, Kansas, agreed. “Watching Kamala Harris own Kavanaugh made me happy for weeks,” he said. “I have to thank Trump for making that happy memory come flooding back.”

Canter Lisson, who lives in Portland, Maine, also appreciated being reminded of Harris’s demolition of Kavanaugh, but he sounded a wistful note.

“It’s too bad that, after she becomes Vice-President, she won’t have many opportunities to be really ‘nasty’ to Brett Kavanaugh,” he said. “Still, I’ll always be grateful for the time I saw her trash that fool.”

He kinda deserved it though, didn't he? I understood he was a bit of an a-hole (but I don't know the whole story).

pvjones: The TV channel sends the questions to the Biden team a day or two before the interview. Imagine Biden trying to do a live interview with Radio NZ, it would be a train wreck!

This is pretty common for interviews. When they contact someone for comment on something they first call/email to let them know and get up to speed on the topic, then arrange for a time for the interview. In my case by then I've got a page of notes ready to refer to to make sure I hit the relevant points. If they just called me out of the blue and said "you're live!" the value of the interview would drop drastically.

For politicians I can see that they'd need more time in order to get their researchers to provide useful answers. Asking a doctor to comment on an outbreak of lurgy is one thing, asking a politician to comment on the same outbreak requires giving them a bit of time to sort out what their policy on the topic is.

There's reasonably compelling evidence to suggest that Kavanaugh is a sexual predator. At a minimum, his responses to the entirely reasonably inquiries from the Senators in that respect suggested that he's worse than scum and has zero understanding of the role of the different branches of government and his own (then future) office. He's really rather similar to Trump in all material respects.
