Bannon arrested? Good job. Breitbart will be beside themselves over this...

They'll just treat it as a great opportunity to create yet another bunch of conspiracy theories:

Bannon was arrested on a $35 million dollar yacht that had been owned by an exiled Chinese billionnaire who fled after being accused of corruption, rape, etc - and now claims that he lives in the UAE, is a member of Mar-a-Lago, and has a $100 million apartment overlooking central park.

Caught red-handed:

The Chinese billionaire and Bannon raised $300 million to fund a media company (incl social media).  Next minute Trump's tweeting and ranting about banning Tik-Tok and WeChat in the US.  It's a hell of a coincidence. The funds have been frozen - pending an investigation.  Should be an "impeachment", but you know what would happen there.  The "investors" might be in a bit of a cold sweat, if they've got any ties to Trump, then it's a very bad look.

if you watch the video, that comment has been taken out of context, just like Police videos where you don't see the 5 seconds beforehand

they wanted to show me something is referring to the journalists holding up COVID country comparison charts

I watched the video:

From about 15 seconds in.

Thanks for wasting my time - just checking to see if you actually do believe what you say here, or perhaps you're just another keyboard warrior MAGA getting "facts" from Breitbart, facebook etc.

Exclusive Footage Of Steve Bannon's Perp Walk

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Anderson Cooper can't help but chuckle watching Steve Bannon exit federal court in New York City, where the former Trump advisor was charged with fraud.

all my comments on the facts here will age well, you just haven't come around to my way of thinking yet - no mainstream media or pathological anti-Trump groupthink in my diet

Varkk:

The Teleprompter comment is the most ludicrous thing ever.

What makes my comment ludicrous? I was just making an observation, not a value judgement. Different people give speeches in different ways. Some (including Obama) sometimes speak from notes and the actual statements are extemporaneous. Some simply wing it. Trump is a bad example of this. Biden was closely reading what he said and there is nothing wrong with that. Some do it better than others, though. Biden didn't do it badly, but he also didn't make it seem completely natural. Again, different speakers do this in different ways.

Oh for goodness sake. "something makes me look bad - what the hell shall I do? I know - I'll tell lies".  Of course they're (the media) trying to make him look bad - he is bad by any objective measure.  Do you think it's mean of the media to do that?  Hold a POTUS to account?

I'm curious if he was actually speaking to anyone, or if he was just standing there being recorded talking to the camera, or were there 15 people in the audience or something?

returning to the discussion from above - they wanted to show me something doesn't refer to the NZ team of 5M, eliminating Covid, to show up Trump - that is taken out of context, if you listen to the full part of the speech

This is the problem with Trump, since he mostly speaks in incoherent fragments of gibberish you can make that gibberish into anything you want. So his defenders can say "he never said that because ..." and then reinterpret the incoherent fragments in a way that makes him say something else. What you need to do is apply a maximum-likelihood decoding to the gibberish, "with high probability he was trying to say this".

Of course a certain fraction of the time even that doesn't work and there's no way of telling what he's trying to say. Specifically, this is the appropriate assessment of a lot of Trump's statements.

Well today he said:

""New Zealand - it's over - it's over for New Zealand, everything's gone, they're beautiful.“

I think he's saying that "we're a tribe of peace loving 60's hippies on a South Pacific Island that wouldn't let him build a Casino when he wanted to because we're commies - that he's about to nuke us or already did but forgot, and maybe that makes him sad, but it is what it is".  Prove me wrong.
