the VP debates tonight. more important than ever ever before
both VP and VP candidate are literally 1 heartbeat away from being POTUS
so we should be really really interested in what they have to say, but as we listen more, we hear that they have nothing to say, both Kamala and Pence are practiced talking point Politicians
Her performance in Dem primaries was very up and down.
She can't take incoming, great at playing the prosecutor role with well prepared practiced set pieces, but not of thinking on her feet like you need to on a 1:1 debate where you can't control the pace and the narrative

But we also know what Mike Pence will do - trojan horse for the radical left, flip-flop, you supported Medicare for all then but now you don't blah blah

Kamala is obviously very very likely to be the next leader of the Dem party

And maybe we'll see some free-for-all on display on what the Post-Trump republican party looks like, Pence has a constituency, he's a standard issue Republican, he could take Trumpism and turn it into zombie Reagan Republicanism

Politicians as celebrities, reminds me of someone from NZ.  These people aren't our idols, they are competing for power.

But Kamala should absolutely link every single answer and question to Trump, to redirect to the top of the ticket

Zero?   Look through all manner of leaders, historically. You will see great, good, average, less then average leaders. But you never see any that are at the Trump gutter level, not even close. Biden and Harris , like most everyone else in DC are "normal" in the usual sense of the word. Puppet Pence is normal. But if anyone has a generous opinion of Trump, that doesnt mean thats is correct to attempt to drag others into the same mire pit.

The only thing that mattered last night in the VP Debate, the only reason why they were there, and the moderator lets them both dodge the question

"No matter who is elected, they will be the oldest President of the US ever.  Have either of you had a discussion with your running mate, about what happens if they die"

That's the only question that matters about why they were even there yesterday, and why we wasted 2 hours of our lives watching that crap.

they are all in the same club - they are friends with people they are meant to be holding to account

she wrote a gushing fawning book on Pelosi, and hosts girls nights for these officials regularly at her house

they don't see a problem with that, they see it as a journalist at the peak of their career
