It is almost like these states are delaying the vote-counting so that they can be the last "battleground".
It's 5:30am on the east coast. People are in bed.
I am not saying about the current time. I am commenting on the fact that some states have a few hundred thousand votes and yet take three days to count them - almost like they want to be the ones to "give the victory" to the winner.

I think they want to be the one who gets whoever to 270
Exactly my point, which @handle9 missed.

Technofreak:Four more years
Until all the votes are finalised and Michael Pence is ratifying it, I'll be holding my breath.
Actually, maybe not. This could take some time.
I imagine since some margins are so thin, there will be some recounts automatically triggered.
I think it's nice that Joe is winning in Pennsylvania, it's his home state after all. I just wish there had been more of a margin; less likely Trump could jump up and down and scream "FRAUD!" like he has been. But given what we've seen of his behaviour for the last 4 years, I'm also totally unsurprised.
Also, this is ridiculous (from his kids): https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/us-election-donald-trumps-sons-fume-at-republican-sheep/E75OQHR6HQ2KTUXZXY4T6MNWQ4/
Clueless much?
Also it's not quite like 2016 all over again, but... https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/04/us/politics/poll-results.html

Eva888: Winning this election with a narrow majority is a shallow victory for whoever comes first when you still have half the population unhappy with the result and your mandate is weak.
Trump team just won plea to allow Observers within 6 feet in PA.
US elections tend to be in the 50.5 to 49.5 variety. But if Biden wins AZ, NV, GA and PA then thats a strong win electorate wise, plus the popular vote he is well ahead.
How much of that is Trump out or Democrats in, is another matter. Trump is out thats all that really matters to most of us
reports say Trump ain't gonna concede

I really do wonder now if Trump will take it further, but I guess he may not have any choice. He is going to look like a fool with all he has said IMO, and even twitter is no hiding many of his rants today. If he can't even respect the democratic process, and who the people of the US have voted for, what is he doing there? Some sort of power trip?
Nailed it. In 2016 he was a real opportunity. Non politician, wealthy and successful (yeah I know thats debatable) and clean the swamp of political rats. Thats a real option for the downtrodden. Take if Bill Gates or Warren Buffet ran, same thing. But, Gates and Buffet have proven their intellect, drive, success, and yes ruthlessness, then they retired and give all their money away to humanitarian causes, showing that the power trip was great, lets now support humanity. You could hope that if they were POTUS they would have the same mentality for the US. Trump, its just the latest power game to feed his ego. Real estate, Reality shows or POTUS, they are just the conduit for his ego to thrive.
