You could have reduced your post to what I bolded, but yes, you are right

GOP senators have adversely commented well before this election. Many more since. Fox News that I have checked from time to time have distanced themselves. Not just the Arizona call, but bagging his response. No one wants to be linked to a loser, thats ironic.

Some of the headlines on Fox website is talking about 2024 but their support for Trump is strong as ever, one headline picks him to run in 2024

I think we'll know by end of next week?

Yep. His lawsuits are stupid, two I know of have been moved on ("exasperating as said by judges") He is not happy with his legal team as they will be telling him its over and his suits hold no weight.

He is over

We have to be "nice" to him for a while longer. Rats bite unexpectedly when cornered too much.

The New York Times - Trump’s False Election Fraud Claims Split Republicans

... As Mr. Trump and his die-hard allies maintained that the vote in Pennsylvania ... was badly corrupted, [Pennsylvania's !!!] Republican senator, Patrick J. Toomey, condemned Mr. Trump’s claims.

The president’s speech last night was very disturbing to me because he made very, very serious allegations without any evidence to support it,” Mr. Toomey told “CBS This Morning.”

I am not aware of any significant fraud, any significant wrongdoing,” he added. ...

Prior to the election, I thought there was a small chance that in a close result the GOP would stand behind Trump in his claims of mail ballot fraud.

Thankfully, they haven't. Trump is looking increasingly isolated and we are seeing a discernable shift in power already; the machinery of State is moving on from him. And for this reason, I don't think the result will be tied up in the courts for months. Rather, I'm picking the courts will be quick and decisive in moving him on.

Trump will leave the White House voluntarily as he won't want the ignominy of being thrown out. But he will never concede and will head into civilian life clinging to the lie that this election was stolen from him.

You need the military and the police in the entire country for a coup and he won't have their backing. A few ZZ Top lookalikes with AR-15's from the backwoods of wherever won't do it, not even against the National Guard let alone the army.

There may be some rioting and looting (a new TV never goes amiss) but that will die down especially if the weather is inclement.

No, you get what you pay for, he is well overdue. Its not about GOP or Democrats, or Biden, its about getting a modern day anomaly leader out of circulation.

Rikkitic:

This from CNN: Trump has acknowledged to some allies he recognizes the electoral math will not work in his favor, according to people familiar with the conversations, but has maintained that a prolonged court battle and corrosive rhetoric about election fraud would sow enough doubt to allow him to refuse to accept the results.

Emphasis mine.

He can refuse to accept but it does not make it the final result. It's not up to him.

The idiots will be out there and they will make the news, but you wont see 170M of them. Many voted DEM many voted GOP, many voted Trump out.

Trump Jr is a better bet. More dynamic, good speaker, looks the part (not orange) and Trumpier than Trump.

And Trump Snr will be 77. He looks old now so what will he look like and what will his health be like in 4 and a bit years time.

A fair amount of the noise is about money. The trump campaign is sending emails to it's mailing list asking for money for the legal challenges.

In the fine print it says that 60% of the money will be used to repay campaign debt.

Yep, the courts wont give him the news time for months that he expects, they will shut him down, as have his Senators, as have Fox News, as have the public.

ZZTop lead singer Billy Gibbons himself is unlikely to be among them. In 2018 Gibbons stranded a supporting act in Australia after the act posted on social media wearing a MAGA hat and supporting anti-lgbt initiatives because of creative differences.
