This is insanely funny:
Fred99:Jon Voight video. In the clip, Voight called the impending legal proceedings a “battle of righteousness versus Satan”. He doubled down on his point, stating: “Yes, Satan. Because these leftists are evil, corrupt and they want to tear down this nation.”

“Why is Satan so keen on giving Americans universal health care?”
Satan may be secular?
(I really like what they're doing, challenging evangelical influence in US politics. Not sure how effective it'll be in a country where more people "believe in angels" than in global warming. It's also a bit "in your face" in a way that may backfire. It reminds me of a mistake I made years ago - going to a fancy-dress party in a hired hall wearing a skin-tight red-devil costume and a bit of makeup. The entire catering staff were Greek Orthodox women, they started crossing themselves and backing away - looking like frightened black clad windmills under disco lights. I couldn't get served at the bar, food was out of the question, and we hadn't brought change of clothes with us.)

And that's why I always go in a gorilla suit. No exceptions.

The Washington Post Newsletter - Coronavirus Updates
today
President Trump is convinced that a conspiracy of pharmaceutical company executives, in league with deep-state operatives inside the Food and Drug Administration, intentionally delayed a major vaccine announcement until after Election Day to harm his reelection chances.
Unsupported by any evidence, Trump's theory nevertheless dominated a meeting of the White House coronavirus task force this week, our Politics desk reports. ...
Meanwhile, the U.S. outbreak is accelerating and deepening in nearly every state, overturning daily-high records almost as soon as they are set.
The country recorded another all-time high of more than 145,000 new infections Wednesday, as well as 1,549 new fatalities – the highest daily death toll since mid-May. ...

"Commerce Department Announces Stay of TikTok Shutdown Order"
The department's action delays implementation of a regulation, set to take effect Thursday, that would have barred U.S. companies such as Apple from offering TikTok as a mobile app, and companies including Amazon.com and Alphabet from offering web-hosting service for TikTok -- moves that would effectively make it inoperable. In making its decision, the Commerce Department cited a preliminary injunction against the shutdown last month by U.S. District Judge Wendy Beetlestone in Philadelphia in a suit brought by three TikTok stars: comedian Douglas Marland, fashion guru Cosette Rinab and musician Alex Chambers. The Commerce Department statement said that the shutdown order won't go into effect "pending further legal developments." In the Philadelphia case, Judge Beetlestone said the government action "presents a threat to the 'robust exchange of informational materials'" and therefore likely exceeds the government's authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the law the Trump administration has relied on to take action against TikTok.

Because that's just the sort of kind, caring guy he is. I mean, if you look at the other guy, whose hobby is holocausts... (Amorites: "We utterly destroyed the men and women and the little ones", Midianites, same thing, Ammonites, exterminated so Lot could grab their lands, Horims, same thing for Esau, Syrians, 100K killed, etc, and that's just the leadup to the big one coming at some point in the future, if you believe the people who are worried about Satanic healthcare).
"Trump, GOP drop Nevada court appeal of ballot count case"
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A state court legal fight to stop the counting of mail ballots in the Las Vegas area has ended after the Nevada Supreme Court dismissed an appeal by the Donald Trump campaign and the state Republican party, at their request.
The dismissal leaves two active legal cases in Nevada relating to the 2020 presidential election, as a small number of remaining ballots are counted.
The campaign and GOP had tried to withdraw the appeal in the state case, submitting a document last week telling the seven-member court that it had reached a settlement calling for Clark County election officials to allow more observers at a ballot processing facility.
However, not all the parties in the lawsuit signed the agreement. The case also involved the national and state Democratic parties, the Nevada secretary of state and the Clark County registrar of voters.

Christ, I hope this story is true. Bring 4 years of suffering to an end already.
Of course, he'll tell his legions to "keep fighting" and won't try and promote any unity in America whatsoever.
Fred99:
Because "celebrity Trumpists" tend to come across as being unhinged / mentally unwell?
BTW: So Voight is living up to his a-hole character from Ray Donovan, I see.

The New York Times - Cybersecurity officials say the election was ‘the most secure in American history.’
today
Top government security and election officials released a joint statement on Thursday definitively declaring that the presidential election last week “was the most secure in American history” and making clear that “there is no evidence” that any voting system was compromised in any way.
The statement, attributed to a high-ranking official at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency - part of the Department of Homeland Security - along with several top elections officials, amounted to a strong rebuke of President Trump’s repeated baseless assertion that the election had been stolen from him through widespread voter fraud.
“There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised,” the statement said. ...

"Trump Campaign Loses Libel Suit Against CNN"
A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit on Thursday brought by President Donald Trump’s campaign regarding a CNN opinion piece that claimed the campaign was open to receiving Russian assistance.
U.S. District Judge Michael L. Brown ruled on Thursday that the campaign had failed to demonstrate “actual malice,” and that therefore the suit should be thrown out.
The campaign filed suits in February and March regarding a series of opinion columns in The Washington Post, CNN and The New York Times, all of which dealt with Russian election interference. The suits against The Washington Post and The New York Times are still pending.
In the CNN case, the campaign took issue with a column by Larry Noble, a former general counsel of the Federal Election Commission. Noble was expressing alarm about a Trump interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on June 12, 2019.
