Netanyahu's recent statement seems to have been designed for a domestic audience to reassure and claim surrenders are occuring and that the war is in a concluding phase.

Israeli commentators have mocked the surrender video on the grounds many of the men pictured are in their 60s, unlikely to be fighters at all, and two slightly different takes of the same video have emerged.

To me the group looks similar to the earlier images of groups of arrested men in underpants many of whom were later identified as UN workers, journalists, and local residents with good family reasons for remaining in an area.

Biden's has commented on the Israeli's 'indiscriminate' bombing.

It's hardly indiscriminate when you are attempting to destroy every single structure.

Israeli army kills 3 hostages in friendly fire incident after it identified them as a 'threat'.

Tells you everything you need to know about how careful the IDF is being in avoiding civilian casualties.

It turns out from investigations carried out by the IDF that the hostages killed by Israeli forces exited a building with their arms raised, shirtless and carrying a white flag. The soldiers opened fire anyway killing 2 instantly and injuring the third.

He retreated back to the building and shouted in Hebrew that he was an Israeli before coming out again. He was shot dead.

I guess the IDF have adopted the LNB protocol regarding taking prisoners, Lets not bother.

And incredibly the soldiers involved won't face any disciplinary action.

So basically it's do what you like mate, we've got your back.

The Biden administration is seeking assurances from the Israeli government that 20,000 assault rifles that it is providing to them won't fall into the hands of illegal Israeli settlers. They are just arse covering.

The Israeli security minister is an illegal settler himself and has already been handing out assault rifles like sweets.

He is basically arming his own private army. There are over 500,000 illegal settlers who think exactly the way he does.

Some Israeli news sources are reporting two of the hostages were killed by sniper fire.

There are many many reports of civilians being killed by sniper fire recently this one:

ABC: The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem asserted that two Christian women at a church compound in Gaza City were killed by Israeli sniper fire and that seven other people were wounded. The women were identified as a mother and daughter. Gaza has a small Christian community consisting of about 1,000 people. There was no immediate Israeli comment.

I saw the IDF spokesman apologizing for the killing of the hostages. He looked like he could hardly be bothered.

Posts like this worry me. There have been atrocities on both sides in this conflict, but whipping up outrage over something that may or may not be correctly reported, without solid detailed attribution from multiple sources, only lays the groundwork for more atrocities. In the current climate people need to tread very carefully with these kinds of comments.

He retreated back to the building and shouted in Yiddish that he was an Israeli before coming out again. He was shot dead.

All the reports I have read so far say he shouted in Hebrew the official language of Israel.

Yiddish is an entirely different Jewish language with origins in central europe. I have not seen any reports saying he shouted in Yiddish.
