That's a small step back for a man, a big leap for the American people. May it get back everything that was illegally or morally withheld or stolen from it. Many politicians may lie, but none of them presented themselves as stupidly brazen. An insult to any sincere intellect. Trumpeneezer Scrooge will never really be able to understand that.

Cheesus, these people are really smart... "Capitol rioter arrested after sending 'selfie' to girlfriend's brother – a federal agent" - Thanksgiving dinner is going to be awkward...

New York man has now been charged with participating in the Jan. 6 insurrection in D.C. after allegedly texting a picture and video of himself in the Capitol to his girlfriend’s brother – a special agent with the U.S. Diplomatic Security Service.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the agent – who is a federal officer employed by the U.S. Department of State – reported the photo and video to the Diplomatic Security Service, which then passed it along to the Joint Terrorism Task Force.

The agent reportedly saw a post from his sister on Facebook that her boyfriend, Thomas Fee, of Freeport, New York, was in D.C. “at the rally” on Jan. 6. The agent subsequently texted Fee, who allegedly confirmed his presence and sent him a “selfie” of him in the Capitol Rotunda, along with a video and a text saying he was “at the tip of the spear.”

My take on the near future is that we won't hear from Trump much. Banned from social media. I "think" he isn't allowed to go live on TV channels? Or wanted? He can record and play. He is now based in Florida where he can attend events, be treated like God, and satisfy his feelings, as he recovers from the Melania divorce. He wont go away, but he's is well and truly neutered, as is his family and those that stuck like glue, aka Guliani. The others, like McConnell, aren't much better, but unlike Trump they recognised a sinking ship and bailed. In an effort to be "ok".

To show how poor a mind he is, he could have accepted the election loss, professed the people were sucked in, behaved himself, and ran again. He could have done the congrats, pre inauguration coffee and meeting and letter. He truly has no concept of decision making and planning. Now everyone has dumped him.  At least the truth prevailed in the end.

tdgeek:  Trump possibly planning a new political party, the Patriot Party. ...

The Wall Street Journal - Trump Has Discussed Starting a New Political Party

breaking

President Trump has talked in recent days with associates about forming a new political party, an effort to exert continued influence after he leaves the White House. ...

The president said he would want to call the new party the “Patriot Party” ...

Mr. Trump has feuded in recent days with several Republican leaders including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), who on Tuesday said Mr. Trump deserved blame for provoking the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

Polls show Mr. Trump retains strong support among rank-and-file GOP voters. ...

Third parties have typically failed to draw enough support to play a major role in national elections.

Any effort to start a new party would likely face intense opposition from Republican party officials, who would chafe at the thought of Mr. Trump peeling off support from GOP candidates.

Sorry one more post. When he took power, to drain the swamp, he put a 5 year ban on former officials being allowed to lobby. I.e. shut down the other side. He's out of Government in a few hours, he has just reversed that rule, so HIS, what will be former officials, can lobby.

He just keeps on giving.... /s
