It's true. All those people backing him, he couldn't care less about, he certainly won't do anything for them if it means putting himself out in some way. Think about those QAnon losers - where was he when they needed him? No one got pardoned, and there was no conspiracy involving a world paedophile ring. Trump just left and Biden took over peacefully - totally contrary to what they'd been brainwashed to believe.

The people who were against him though - oh, you'd better watch out, he'll have his eye on you.

Although Trump is a complete cock in every sense of the word he unfortunately still wields a lot of power and can be very dangerous.

You know Fox News is actually Faux News... The headline is wrong since 57 - 43 voted to convict him. The fact a simple majority was not enough to convict doesn't mean they voted to acquit him - only that the conviction threshold of 2/3 was not reached.

By definition he is acquitted - the senate record shows he was found not guilty.

That isn't the same as innocent of course.

The Republican party has decided to make its home in the remains of a beached bloated whale. The longer, the better.

Good replies in the tweet, though it's falling on deaf ears.

AP News: Louisiana GOP censures Cassidy for vote to convict Trump

Louisiana’s Republican Party on Saturday censured Republican Senator Bill Cassidy for voting to convict former President Donald Trump at his second impeachment trial.

Cassidy joined six other Republicans and all 50 Democrats in voting to convict Trump on Saturday for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Trump was acquitted, since 67 Senate votes were needed to secure a conviction.

Cassidy said Trump, who was charged with “incitement of insurrection,” was guilty.

“Our Constitution and our country is more important than any one person,” Cassidy said in a video he posted on social media. “I voted to convict President Trump because he is guilty.”

Shortly after the Senate’s vote, the Republican Party of Louisiana said in a statement that its executive committee unanimously voted for Cassidy to be censured, a largely symbolic expression of disapproval.

"I was dumb and gave two million dollars to investigate voter fraud, now I want my money back"-guy:

True The Vote lawsuit: How GOP donor Fred Eshelman came to want his money back - The Washington Post

Like many Trump supporters, conservative donor Fred Eshelman awoke the day after the presidential election with the suspicion that something wasn’t right. His candidate’s apparent lead in key battleground states had evaporated overnight.

The next day, the North Carolina financier and his advisers reached out to a small conservative nonprofit group in Texas that was seeking to expose voter fraud. After a 20-minute talk with the group’s president, their first-ever conversation, Eshelman was sold.

“I’m in for 2,” he told the president of True the Vote, according to court documents and interviews with Eshelman and others.

“$200,000?” one of his advisers on the call asked.

“$2 million,” Eshelman responded.

Now, he wants his money back.

So are Goldman Sachs, the great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money. Would you expect ethical behaviour from them?

It doesn't just give the impression the majority voted to acquit, it actually (falsely) says it. They didn't vote 57-43 to acquit, they voted 57-43 to convict. If they want to frame it as votes for acquittal the correct headline would be "Senate votes 43-57 to Acquit" - but that doesn't paint the narrative they want as it clearly shows less voted to acquit than to convict.

You completely missed the point and your link is irrelevant to the story.

I am not saying that for being a financier he would be ethical.

I put in between quotes because being a "financier" you would expect him to be smarter than giving two million dollars to Trump based on a set of lies and even expect it back.

I put "financier" in between quote just to show he's a dumb idiot and anyone using his "financier" services would be risking their money with his stupid decision-making.

Some bad news, but probably inevitable ...

The New York Times - Parler, a Social Network That Attracted Trump Fans, Returns Online

today

SAN FRANCISCO - Parler, the social network that drew millions of Trump supporters before disappearing from the internet, is back online a month after Amazon and other tech giants cut off the company for hosting calls for violence around the time of the Capitol riot. ...

On Monday, for the first time since Jan. 10, typing p*****.com into a web browser returned a page to log into the social network - a move that had required weeks of work by the small company and that had led to the departure of its chief executive.

It was unclear exactly how Parler had figured out how to host its site on computer servers, though it appeared Parler had partnered with a smaller company for the service. ...

For other services, Parler relied on help from a Russian firm that once worked for the Russian government and a Seattle firm that once supported a neo-Nazi site. ...

The "Parler Free Speech Social Network" requires readers to create an account to access content.

No Thank You.  🥺

I was assuming he did it for political, leading to monetary, purposes (no matter what he's saying now), hand Trump cash and expect favours in return once he's, um, re-elected: Millions stand behind me. The translation of the text is given in a comment, "Millions stand behind me. Small man asks for big alms" (in Trump's case it'd be "man with small hands", not "small man", since Trump isn't that small).
