The Washington Post - Trump just sued the New York Times and his niece. If history is a guide, he probably won’t win.

today

Donald Trump has once again sued a news organization alleging that its reporting was unfair to him. If history is any guide, this one is also likely to generate a flurry of attention before quietly stalling out.

Trump’s latest lawsuit, filed on Tuesday, is aimed at the New York Times and his niece, Mary Trump. It centers on the Times’s publication in 2018 of a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation of Trump’s alleged tax-avoidance tactics and the history of his family inheritance. ...

Trump has threatened to sue news organizations, including the Times, for decades, but has followed through on only a handful of occasions. ...

But the strategy behind Trump’s lawsuits may have less to do with winning a claim than reinforcing his long-standing refrain that he is a victim of “fake news,” bolstering his political standing and ginning up donations from supporters. ...

Mary Trump’s attorney called Trump’s claim “the latest in a long line of frivolous lawsuits by Donald Trump that target truthful speech and important journalism on issues of public concern. It is doomed to failure like the rest of his baseless efforts to chill freedom of speech and of the press.

Mike Flynn says 'they' are planning to put vaccine in salad dressing and it has to stop:

No point putting it in a cheeseburger. Trump is already vaccinated.

Where do these idiots get off spreading their misinformation? What's their purpose? Is it just attention-seeking?

I'm sure it is just fake news. Salad dressing doesn't go with boiled babies.

If I were trying to get the MAGA crowd vaccinated on the sly, putting it in anything to do with salad would not be my first choice.

If Trump was an ordinary middle class citizen, long ago every list of vexatious litigants would include his name, and every lawyer that represented him.

But because it's easier to ignore the psychopath running down the sidewalk foaming at the mouth waving a knife, he's got away with vexatious litigation over, over, and over again.

The unknown poor sit in jail, even before the case because they can't afford the bail.

Celebrities and the rich get "Even though you found me guilty, I don't the punishment. But if I must be punished, how about you give me this one instead?"

Case in point, The Detroit News: Pro-Trump lawyers want to slash payments to Detroit over election case

Lawyers who sought to overturn Michigan's 2020 election asked a federal judge on Wednesday to dramatically cut the amount of money they might have to pay Detroit because of the unsuccessful litigation.

Two weeks earlier, the state and city detailed in court filings how much they spent to fight the high-profile suit that aimed to have Republican Donald Trump named Michigan's winner even though he lost by 154,000 votes to Democrat Joe Biden.

Their legal costs totaled about $204,156, according to the filings. On Wednesday, the lawyers who could have to pay the costs proposed trimming the price tag to no more than $43,928, less than a fourth of the proposed amount.

Should I be shocked that Micheal Flynn was a retired United States Army lieutenant general, before becoming the U.S. National Security Advisor?

First what kind of @sshole wears a tshirt with their name and former military rank? I suppose it keeps him from accidently putting on his wife's dress, and reminds of what he has to say to potential captors.

Second, had it ever crossed their mind that if an oral vaccine was possible, why would everyone be getting shots? The lite salad comes with sugar free microchips.

When Trump said he wanted to 'attract best and brightest' immigrants to the U.S., he realized how stupid those surrounding him were?

To Obama's benefit, he did warn the Trump team about Michael Flynn.

People without shame do shameful things. I just wish someone would finally put Trump in jail and shut him up once and for all. He has had far more than his fair share of free speech and uncensored behaviour. It is way past time to just shut him down.

The Washington Post - Draft report of GOP-backed ballot review in Arizona confirms Biden’s win

today

A Republican-commissioned review of nearly 2.1 million ballots cast last year in Arizona confirmed the accuracy of the official results and President Biden’s win in Maricopa County, according to a draft report prepared by private contractors who conducted the recount. ...

After nearly six months and almost $6 million - most of it given by groups that cast doubt on the election results - the draft report shows that the review concluded that 45,469 more ballots were cast for Biden in Maricopa County than for Trump, widening Biden’s margin by 360 more votes than certified results. ...

So it cost them USD $16,666 per additional lost vote!  Excellent!
  😏

quickymart:  ... was this those Cyber Ninja clowns?

Indeed it was.  🙂

From the same Washington Post article:

The Florida-based firm that led the review, Cyber Ninjas, had never before been involved in administering an election or recount, and its chief executive, Doug Logan, publicly embraced Trump’s false claims of fraud before getting the job.

After his firm was selected to conduct the review, Logan did not deny his potential bias but said that it is “the most skeptical person” who makes the best auditor, “not the person who thinks it is impossible to find anything.” ...

Trump allies tried to play down the conclusion in the draft report. ...

[Doug Logan is quoted as saying that] ... the final hearing “will render findings of great consequence. God is in control. Please pray for our audit team tomorrow as they present their findings.”

What could possibly go wrong?

Grifters grifting a grifter.

Actually Doug was misquoted: "Please pray for our audit team pay tomorrow as they present their findings"
