I flew the L-39 myself in the Czech Republic in aerobatics - a solid trainer. Something must have gone wrong with the flight coordination.
I also lost a fellow pilot and flight trainer back in 2005 during a routine flight, along with his young Canadian co-pilot. My condolences.

I laughed at this comment about the supposed shooting down of Prigozhin's plane:
"Someone in the Russian military finally decided to send Prigozhin the ammunition he had long requested - albeit at a somewhat higher velocity and more armed state than he probably intended."
From Perun's video on the matter.

Yeah, people like him don't typically die peacefully in their sleep at the age of 102. At least he was lucky that when it came, it was pretty quick.

Russia sinks ferries to guard the Kerch Bridge, apparently, they will anchor a boom to stop drone boats.
Tucker Carlsons father is a professional lobbyist with Victor Orban as a client.
Given Orban ( I really want to be leader for life like Putin ) , like Trump idolizes Putins power.
There is probably some Russian slush money in the mix.

First drone boat blows up anti-drone boom, second drone boat blows up bridge.

Yeah, either that or they have those net cutters installed on the bow like a WWII U-boat.

There is some fearless coverage from the BBC with their reporter on the front line.
In this morning's report a Russian drone explodes just in front of the Humvee they are in, the gunner falls back into the vehicle fortunately not hurt. And the reporter carries on with the report.
From a purely strategic military point of view, the whole thing has more or less degenerated into a pure war of position and attrition. And it will continue for quite a long time.

Russia's autocrat like China's CCP has no time for Nobel Prize winners.
To join China's 'empty chair'.

In 2021, Muratov who works as the chief editor of Russia's top independent publication Novaya Gazeta, shared the Nobel Peace Prize with the Philippines' Maria Ressa for their respective fights for freedom of expression.
Since 2000, Novaya Gazeta has seen six of its journalists and contributors killed, including investigative reporter Anna Politkovskaya, who was shot dead in Moscow on President Vladimir Putin's birthday.

kingdragonfly: Shut Up About NATO Expansion
Foreseeable. Let's see when they manage to admit a belligerent country against its own NATO regulations - I would not find that acceptable in terms of credibility and would not let Ukraine coerce me into doing so. For me, the credibility of the NATO and my own government depends on it.
First we were told: no offensive weapons! What was delivered? Assault weapons.
Then it was: no battle tanks! What was delivered? Battle tanks!
Then it was: no combat aircraft! What is being delivered? Combat aircraft!
Hopefully it won't soon be: no nuclear weapons!
Call it what you will, I call it a proxy war and Zelensky is a clever fellow who comes back home with all kinds of toys (at least as long as no American or other NATO soldier falls in battle - ideally only Russian ones). The initial superiority of Western systems will soon be counterbalanced by Chinese technology (remember, the Chinese are the ones who supply us with their cheap computers and other technical things that we no longer produce ourselves at these unbeatable prices).
A great real-world scenario to test whether one's own arsenal of weapons will meet future requirements - for what? You got it.
