Someone suggested to me that the election and post-election process, particularly the Wall Street appointments, looks exactly like a classic scam.

There's a petition in NY to force Melanomia and the Brat to leave and go to the White House,  the security costs to protect the two of them in Trump Tower are claimed to be $1m/day.

Do you really need to use the terms, a serious illness should not be used in derogatory  terms.

What a surprise: Trumpy appoints a bunch of rich guys to his cabinet.

It's possible that they may also be well educated, experienced and so on as well as rich....

What does that have to do with the extra cost of protecting them in an environment not suited for that?

Edit: Sorry, responding to wrong post.

It is possibly they may have become rich by doing things like selling home mortgages to people who couldn't afford them then foreclosing on their homes.

Unfortunately political comedy has a way of turning to tragedy like Bush and his invasion of Iraq.

It's also possible that they may be a pack of crooks, liars, and shills for Trump's authoritarian anti-liberty regime.

Apart from the power and prestige, being President must be about the worst high profile job in the World.   Look at Obama.   From day one he and Michelle had to send their kids off to school in SUV's along with a whole bunch of Secret Service guys.    Pay is pathetic compared to  CEO's in the USA and New Zealand.    The president and his family become prime targets for terrorists and the deranged.   And in the case of Obama being able to achieve very little of what he wanted to do.   So maybe we need to give Trump a honeymoon period of a year or so and see how he deals with crises and similar!

No point in a honeymoon as he is already creating crises and similar. He is off to a great start with the Chinese. Interesting times indeed.

+1   He might even start World War Three before he becomes President.  undecided

If we survive Trump's presidency, I will be genuinely surprised.

No. he is just the President, he has brains but not here. He will be lead, he will spout on the TV but he will be led. Since he won his election, he has gone quiet, been nice, backtracked, diluted. To me he will try but he is a puppet.

Exactly.

I know exactly who is going to kill me - and he doesn't know or care who I am.

Very Minority Report.
