I have stopped caring about it, the vast majority of the stuff written about him is probably fantasy and news media fiction.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

But that's the very reason you *should* care. He's been elected on false pretences. He's not going to make any decisions. The whole "democratic" process has long ago been subverted.

No point in a honeymoon as he is already creating crises and similar. He is off to a great start with the Chinese. Interesting times indeed.

+1   He might even start World War Three before he becomes President.  undecided

If we survive Trump's presidency, I will be genuinely surprised.

No. he is just the President, he has brains but not here. He will be lead, he will spout on the TV but he will be led. Since he won his election, he has gone quiet, been nice, backtracked, diluted. To me he will try but he is a puppet.

Well, maybe like one of those puppets with tangled strings behaves unpredictably:

I'm not agreeing, but the video evidence is compelling. Oh yeah, he's going to change. Better familiarise yourself with executive sole powers of the president while you are waiting to see what he tries.

Great post. The FF is priceless. yes, I know he does have some powers, but this is way out of his area of expertise. He has to be advised, guided, thats how I see it playing out. He can't play the election game when he is crowned, in fact he has already backtracked on many issues already. I believe he will actually try to make a difference. I read summit the other week about how successful Presidents are on getting their promises through. It was a surprisingly consistent 70% average, not much either way.

Cross the wall off, it will be big, it will be beautiful. Now its, it can be a fence in places. Reality is it will be a fence in places, and more Border staff and a token 500 metre wall.

Election --> Reality --> Budget

he just has no clue on how to be diplomatic. He should have known not to come out in public about talking to the Taiwanese leader and then why would he mention about whats the problem when the USA sell military hardware to Taiwan  when he should know they have to by law. Then his wife wants to stay in NY while their son finishes school at a cost of a million a day of NY taxpayers money for security .

I saw something on the news about the nuclear standoff between India and Pakistan that really frightened me. With that and ISIS and Syria and North Korea and Russia and Trump and all the crazies and crazy things in the world, I really have to wonder how long we can continue to dodge the bullet. There is a serious suggestion that the reason we don't hear from any civilisations in space is because they don't survive beyond the point we have reached. It is a sobering thought.

I've seen in a number of articles that Trump himself plans to spend much of this time at Trump Tower instead of the White House. He may quickly find that impractical given the demands of the job - which I am still not sure he understands.

I wouldn't be surprised if in a years time (or less), he's bored on being commander in chief and bows out. Trump is all about the glory of winning. He has that now and doing the actual job will be far less interesting to him.

Wonder if he's got a bunker under Trump tower?
