He was never going to win that; it was a dumb lawsuit.

If anyone else created this many lawsuits, they would be on California's vexatious litigant list.

Daily Beast: Move Over Jesus: Trump Says He’s Done More for ‘Religion’ Than Anyone, Ever

There’s nothing Donald Trump doesn’t do, or hasn’t done, better than anyone else in human history—or so he claims.

His latest whopper came in an interview on evangelical network CBN News taped at Mar-a-Lago. “You know, nobody has done more for Christianity, nobody has done more for religion of all types, than me. And they’re really doing things now, to—and I’ve always said it, they are against organized religion, they’re against Christianity,” Trump said.

Will 2024 be a rematch of 2020? It's possible. The last time this happened was decades ago.

For his worshippers, that's actually true. He stacked the Supreme Court to ensure Roe vs Wade gets overturned, to be followed by gay marriage, access to contraception, and who knows what else. Jesus never spoke out against abortion, gay marriage, or contraception while Trump took decisive action over it, so Trump has done more than Jesus.

Yes, for us he's spouting nonsense, but we're not his target audience.

He also did lots for Muslims - he tried banning them from getting into America. (/sarcasm)

Christ, Trump is so shady

Forbes: Trump Says He Lost Cell Phones Requested By New York Attorney General

In an affidavit dated Friday, Trump said he had turned over all the material in his possession that James’ office had subpoenaed, in his latest effort to end the daily fine that has so far run to $140,000.

The fine was imposed by Manhattan Judge Arthur Engoron, who accepted James’s claim that Trump had failed to comply with a subpoena from her office requesting documents and information related to the fraud probe.

Trump said he was not in possession of any phones or similar devices from the Trump Organization, adding that four phones he had previously owned had gone missing, including a Samsung phone that was taken from him “at some point” while he was president.

Trump said he only had two cell phones: an iPhone for personal use and a new phone used exclusively for posting on Truth Social, the Trump-founded “non-woke” social media platform.

Trump said he did not personally keep track of documents such as those subpoenaed by the attorney general’s office, and he had authorized his attorneys to search his personal residence and office at Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey, his personal residence and office at the Mar-a-Lago club in Florida and his personal residence at Trump Tower in New York City for requested documents.

He is a lot like Nixon was, in the sense that he has a criminal mentality. Normal people who contemplate a course of action may ask themselves if what they are about to do is morally and legally okay. People like Trump just ask if they can get away with it.

Is he still popular? I know Joe's popularity isn't flash at the moment, although he's probably doing a little better than Trump was at this point in his presidency. But would a 2024 rematch see Joe win again, or would Trump win a second term? Contrary to what a lot of commentators thought would happen, Trump is not disappearing or fading away, he's still sticking his nose into the Republican Party and any elections they have running at the moment.

Trump releases a touching, sweet, thoughtful "truth" for Mother's Day.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all, including Racist, Vicious, Highly Partisan, Politically Motivated, and Very Unfair Radical Left Democrat Judges, Prosecutors, District Attorneys, and Attorney Generals who campaign unrelentingly against you without knowing a thing, and endlessly promise to take you down.

After years of persecution, even the Fake News says there is no case, or, at best, it will be very hard to bring.

Someday soon they will be fighting RECORD SETTING Violent Crime.

I love you all!”

Business Insider: 2022 is shaping up to be a legal nightmare for Trumpworld. Here's a timeline of upcoming court cases and legal obstacles.

...greater dangers loom. The Trump Organization is the subject of a sprawling investigation from the Manhattan district attorney's office and the New York attorney general's office into alleged financial misconduct.

In Atlanta, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is weighing charges over his conduct in the 2020 election. Those investigations are proceeding as the Justice Department comes up on the five-year deadline to prosecute Trump over acts of possible obstruction that former Special Counsel Robert Mueller III scrutinized as part of his investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration is sending a steady stream of Trump's White House records to the House committee investigating the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. And Trump — along with many of his allies — face federal investigations and lawsuits stemming from the January 6 insurrection. Expect the judges in those cases to set court dates later this year.

While Trump mulls whether to run for president again in 2024, 2022 is shaping up to be a year of legal headaches for the former president and his associates. Here's a timeline of the threats Trumpworld faces.

Speaking of January 6:

Good, detailed (long) read about the events leading up to, during, and after the insurrection.

In 2017, Trump appointed Mark Esper as secretary of the Army. In 2019, Esper was named Trump's second defense secretary. He was fired by President Donald Trump by tweet on November 9, 2020.

In my opinion he's a coward. Like all Trump's cronies he waited till Trump wasn't President to develop a spine.

Interviewer: "What specifically was Trump suggesting the military should do about the protestors?"

Trump: "He says 'Can't you just shoot them? Just shoot them in the legs, or something.'

And he suggesting that's something we should do. That we should bring in the troops, and shoot the protestors."

It seems inconceivable that someone his age, with his background, who has held the positions he has, can be so unashamedly infantile. It just beggars belief.

To get the proper effect for that, read it to yourself in the voice of a petulant three-year-old, insert the term "meanies" after the mention of judges and DAs, and blow a raspberry at the end.

This is typical Trump behavior.

Donald Trump is a textbook Narcissist (quite literally), and this is how he has behaved for at least 50 years.

He has absolutely no insight.

He imagines himself to be a wronged "victim", and nothing will ever change him.

This idiot may well become the 47th President of the United States - unless he dies first.

God Help America.

And the rest of us.  😶
