GV27:

I know American work culture (particularly software and Silicon Valley) is fundamentally broken, but it's incredible to see people defending 80 hour weeks as the bare minimum for keeping a job, especially managers.

I would suggest a manager's job is to protect their staff from having to work those kind of hours, and expecting it is the failure.

According to the NZ Productivity Commission, NZ has longer work hours and lower productivity than the USA.

Geektastic: I hope Twitter folds. Then causes a chain reaction destroying social media forever.

If you have an "Old Boy Network" who needs anything else.

Looks like you're right, the orange buffoon says he won't return. Awww! Elon's (stupid) dinky little poll and all that effort of getting his account reactivated was for absolute naught!

I think Musk has once again gone beyond an unforced error. How about "self-inflicted amputation"?

God?

He would've been a "God" if he had been using his genius brain and money to help fight hunger, lack of drinking water in 3rd world countries, and so much more just like Bill Gates does with his institute.

Elon Musk is an as***le genius. I had enough of him. I stopped following him on social media quite some time ago.

Twitter added 1.6M daily active users in the last week, an all-time high.

So I guess he’s doing something right.

There once was a fellow named Musk
His manner was brilliant but brusque
He took over Twitter
And made it all fitter
And then disappeared in the dusk.

I nearly created an account just so I could vote No to reinstating Trump's account. But then I thought better of it.

So you thought about joining a platform that you have no interest in and don’t use, just so you can decide who gets to use a platform you don’t use?

It will be amusing if we find out that the majority of those are bots (given his attempt to pull out of the deal) because he fired teams that deal with them πŸ˜…
