Trump has had his time.

😀

Here's hoping that 'right-wing populism' is starting to run its course, at least the extreme side.

Though Trump and the 'right' is everything they say they hate about the 'left', I think the moderate 'rights' and those 'centralists' (fence sitters) now realise that Trump and other far 'right' politicians are only in it for their narcissistic selves and that all their hate bashing actually is all just luke warm air and has no substance in actual policies of action and benefit for ALL of the people.

The Dem's have to pull something out over the next 2 years otherwise they are dead for the next 6 years and America will be a worse off place to be and only the wealthy and powerful will be the beneficiaries of the Trump era, which will take over a decade to fix.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Trump has had his time. He doesn't realise it yet because he simply isn't very perceptive, but people outside his hard core are tired of him. Whatever the democrats do, it is the republicans who will bring him down.

you better be right

the last time i laughed at him vs Clinton i know what happened to our civilization

The Washington Post - Trump team pushes to delay 2024 launch as DeSantis star rises in GOP

today

Former president Donald Trump’s standing as the dominant figure in the Republican Party was challenged Tuesday night by a string of election results that even some of his advisers viewed as wounding to his political future.

Trump is taking blame from Republicans for disappointing performances by many of the candidates he backed, at the same time that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis won a landslide reelection, instantly elevating his profile as a serious 2024 presidential contender.

In a sign of Trump’s diminished and newly uncertain footing, some longtime allies are now encouraging Trump to delay a presidential announcement he had planned for next week as a victory lap for a red wave that didn’t materialize.

In one of the eyewitness accounts from the bunker in Berlin, in response to reports of the bombing of the Obersalzberg, it was stated that the Fuehrer was "crying, screaming, and biting the carpet", the last one being an analogy for a rage attack.

I assume a similar scene at Mar a Lago.

It was all Melania's fault  🙄

The Times (UK) - Trump ‘livid’ as Republicans falter in Congress race

today

Donald Trump has reacted furiously to the Republican Party’s faltering performance in the US midterm elections, with reports that he has been “screaming at everyone” in his inner circle and even blaming his wife for the lacklustre results. ...

He is understood to be incensed by the choice of the celebrity TV doctor Mehmet Oz as the candidate in Pennsylvania’s Senate race, where the Republicans were defending the seat. ...

Trump is said to have blamed several close associates, including his wife, Melania, for the endorsement.

The New York Times reported that a “furious” Trump described his wife’s backing of Oz as “not her best decision”.

TRUMP CLAIMS MELANIA SUPPORTED OZ BECAUSE SHE IS ATTRACTED TO MEN WHO ARE UNFIT TO GOVERN

PALM BEACH (The Borowitz Report)—After laying the blame on his wife for recommending that he endorse Dr. Mehmet Oz for the United States Senate, Donald J. Trump explained his wife’s actions by revealing that she is attracted to men who are totally unfit to govern.

“It’s a weird thing with her,” he said in a phone call to Fox & Friends “If she sees some loser who is in no way qualified to hold office, she gets weak-kneed.”

Further explaining his wife’s visceral attraction to obviously unfit candidates, Trump added, “It could be some clown on TV who’s never held office in his life, and she’s, like, ‘I’d go for him in big way. In big way.’ ”

“If the guy's been sued for fraud, that’s icing on the cake,” he said.

Responding to her husband’s revelations, Mrs. Trump issued the following tearful statement: “I take full responsibility for persuading Donald to back Dr. Oz. To atone for terrible mistake I offered to be best and get divorce. But he just said something about me dressing the windows so it sounds like if I just get new curtains for our mansion it will all be okay. Whoo.”

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

France 24: Powerful Murdoch media dumps on Trump

Just days before he is expected to announce his 2024 White House candidacy, the Wall Street Journal, the flagship of Murdoch's News Corp, declared in an editorial that "Trump Is the Republican Party's Biggest Loser," pointing to the party's disappointing performance in Tuesday's midterm elections.

The cover of NewsCorp's tabloid New York Post depicted Trump on a precarious wall as "Trumpty Dumpty" who "had a great fall" in the vote, blaming him for the failure of Republicans to sweep past Democratic rivals in the vote.

And at the hugely influential Fox News television network, praise was thick for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, seen as Trump's top rival for the party's 2024 presidential election.

"The biggest winner of the midterm elections was without a doubt Governor Ron DeSantis, whose landslide victory in the state of Florida was breathtaking," wrote Fox columnist Liz Peek.

"The biggest loser? Donald Trump," she said.

Mark Leibovich, the Thank You for Your Servitude author in the inverview above, also points to this problem, most of them don't want Trump but they also know they can't get rid of him any more. One Republican he interviews says that their only plan to move forward is to hope he dies before 2024, and he's being dead serious.

For people in Orkland thinking of getting it through the library system, the waiting list for it is... long, you're looking at several months wait. Definitely worth reading though.
