The Times of London - Donald Trump belittles rivals in chaotic Tucker Carlson interview

24 August 2023

Some gems from Trump's interview with Tucker Carlson, broadcast yesterday:

I do get credit for holding up quite well,” he told the former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, at his Bedminster club in New Jersey.

Carlson asked: “How do you get indicted every week and stay cheerful?”

It’s a lot easier because I’m so high in the polls,” Trump replied. “The people see that it’s a fraud.”

Carlson asked Trump if America was heading towards civil war. He replied by calling January 6 “the most beautiful day they [his supporters] had ever experienced. There was love and unity.”

Asked about Biden, he said: “I don’t think he’s going to make it to the gate, but you never know. I think he’s worse mentally than he is physically, and physically, he’s not exactly a triathlete, or any kind of athlete. You look at him and he can’t walk to the helicopter. ... He added that he thought the president “looks terrible at the beach”.

Weight 215 lbs <---- The 5 and the 1 are round the wrong way.

I think he's pissed off because when the arresting officer read his weight out loud, he slowly looked at him up and down, raised a eyebrow, said "Really? That's what you're going with?" and shook this head.

The former president seems to have a preoccupation with weight, both his and others’.

He has repeatedly fat-shamed his political opponents, and many speculated that he downplayed his own weight during his presidency.

He has also repeatedly slammed Fox News for using unflattering photos.

Bookies at a gambling site were giving odds around 278.5 lbs, 126 kg

A BMI of 18.5 - 24.9 is Normal

Assuming he's not lying about his height also, a big if, that's a BMI of 34.8

40 is obese

Yes indeed, and his first tweet in 2.5 years is being mocked for the irony of it: https://nz.finance.yahoo.com/news/trumps-first-tweet-years-being-025917748.html

I noticed this Lincoln Project video was a sports bar filled only with men, so did a quick Google check,

I'd like to think Americans would react like that, but the mindless masses don't really care.

I think the black and white horizontal striped shirts with the number on the chest would be nicer.

A "Swedish curtain" (bars) as background decoration wouldn't be bad either.

Wow, the police threw away ones of him shit-grinning at the camera, and chose a neutral expression one.

How dare the police do their job!

BBC: Donald Trump still rewriting laws of politics after Georgia arrest

Donald Trump has been complaining recently about the pictures used of him on Fox News.

"They purposely show the absolutely worst pictures of me, especially the big 'orange' one with my chin pulled way back," he wrote on his Truth Social platform.
