I did say more like, not exactly 😄 but seriously your numbers are probably much more accurate than mine.

In other news, a bunch of antivaxxers get their comeuppance in court, especially after they can't get hold of their antivaxx "lawyer" Sue Grey (lol):

The irony is lost on this lot. This slide says not to protest:

People are clearly waking in and out the entrance why are they not stopping anybody entering.

It's a case of the tail waging the dog.

I would give a clear announcement that all children and elderly should be cleared from the area within 60 mins as tear gas is going to be dropped.

60 mins in lob a heap of tear gas in to disperse people.

If you don't what to use tear gas bring in a water cannon, do we have one ??, Work better than turning on some stupid sprinklers and hoping that and the rain will make them leave.

Will they go somewhere else?? probably , do the same to where the stragglers go.

I have zero respect and or tolerance for it or them.

I've got serious concerns this protest is going to turn into a super-spreader event (no vaccinations, no masks, singing/yelling, very close contact, won't get tested, no QR scanning, ...) and will then pass on to everyone when they return to their usual places of residence.

They should arm the police with vaccine syringes... or tranquilizer darts filled with the vaccine... that would likely make them run away very quickly! 😀

Interesting you mention that.

If anyone there did get sick with coronavirus, and they turned up at a hospital seeking treatment (and if it was up to me) I would charge them for their treatment/care.

That might make a few of them change their mind.

It’s a case of delegitimising them by ignoring them and not causing a riot. It seems to be quite effective so far. The more they say the stupider they sound.

Gathering the Useful Idiots.
https://www.newsroom.co.nz/hijacked-the-inside-story-of-how-nzs-convoy-lost-its-rudder

""
Counterspin is one of the largest platforms for conspiracy theories and far-right ideology in New Zealand.
""
On January 30, the day the convoy discussions really picked up, he put out a call for armed kidnapping of MPs, journalists and anyone else his audience might perceive as upholding the Government.
""

The somewhat comical actions may make one think its all mostly harmless, however this is certainly being used by those with darker intent.
There is some pretty extreme belief being fed by those hoping some might go rouge.

DjShadow:

I just about choked on my dinner when One News interviewed a protester saying her husband got the booster today and she is going to divorce him for doing that

Smart man. Sounds like he might have dodged a (long-term) bullet. She sounds pathetic.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/127753866/the-people-behind-the-capital-protest-many-adamant-days-on

But Anne Looney, from Tirau, says she doesn’t trust the Government...Looney declared on television she would leave her husband of 45 years because he had had the booster shot.

@DjShadow This must be the person you were thinking of. At least her surname is, well...appropriate.

Why don’t the police block their communication channels ? Couldn’t they block cell phones like they do in prisons?. The  fact three local schools need a police officer assigned so they can safely get to the train station is disgusting, they have to go up the terrace and around to leave school. I really think they should bring in water cannons and the riot squad . The army should start towing all the cars away , it was a pain in trying to cross the road with all the cars on the median strip across from the station
