I can't see any way that the SC would rule him out.

Trump 2, Democracy nil:   🙄

The NY Times - Supreme Court Rules Trump Can Remain on Colorado’s Ballot

breaking

  • The justices rejected a challenge to Donald Trump’s eligibility for another term, one that could have upended the presidential race by taking him off ballots around the nation.

  • Although the justices offered different reasons, the decision was unanimous.

  • The decision was the court’s most important ruling concerning a presidential election since Bush v. Gore handed the presidency to George W. Bush in 2000.

  • The Supreme Court resolved the Colorado ballot dispute speedily, in contrast to its much slower handling of Trump's bid for immunity from criminal prosecution in the federal 2020 election case.

  • Trump is celebrating the Supreme Court’s decision, writing on his social media platform, Truth Social, “BIG WIN FOR AMERICA!!!”

I didn't think that would succeed, so not overly surprised. I'm keeping an eye on the immunity case though - that one (I hope) goes ahead as planned.

Most likely goes ahead too late to make a difference - all else being equal he is likely to still be on trial during the election.

I'm hoping Trump wins his immunity case as then Biden can order the CIA to assassinate him.

Yes I think that's a rather important loophole that the orange buffoon has overlooked with all his "immunity" logic.

I think the supreme court should be informed that they too can be subject to such an order...with no consequences, as can be any opposition in any of the 2 houses.

America is exceptional in all the ways a normal person wouldn't want to be.

They were lucky, not exceptional.

Pretty much the whole of the EU had too be rebuilt from scratch after WWII , something the USA was happy to sell them things to do.

During the 1950's the USA account for over 60% of the worlds GDP, it is not down to less than 19% and still slowly falling.

Peak USA was in the 1970s, since then its been a slow trend downwards as other nations we back to being able to compete internationally with USA.

You can NOT make the USA great again, the world is no longer dependant in the same way.

Interesting. With unlimited presidential immunity Biden can order the assassination of all the MAGA Republications in House and Senate 😋

I seem to remember that the UK didn't finish paying back it's WW2 debt to the US until something like the early 2000's. So much for 'special relationship'.

And Ukraine is going to be screwed for decades to come for the same reason as well, especially if "all" they manage to achieve is pushing Russia out of their country.
