If you're in charge, and it's a short-medium flight, yeah you get the 1st class seats as a desk to have work on the go...

Then there are business class (maybe more premium economy really in modern terms) seating for slightly less important people, and economy seating for the crew, NZDF personell and other riff-raff.
Of course it can be changed around to suit different requirements, and both of the 757 had a cargo door added so that pallets can be loaded instead of people for freight duties.
