It's not a "bond company". It's a subsidiary of Chubb, whose CEO Evan Greenberg is a friend and was appointed in 2018 to an advisory role in a committee for trade policy and negotiations inside Trump's White House.
What Idiot Backed Trump’s Bond in E. Jean Carroll Trial? This One. | The New Republic
Aah, a Trumper. That makes sense.
I couldn't work it out otherwise: he's 100% going to lose his case, so the bond money is gone. That leaves Chubb trying to chase the man who was recently convicted of fraud and has declared bankruptcy about fifty times in order to avoid paying his debts, and also owes another $500M in fines as well as whatever he owes on all his properties ... like, even if they got $20M from him up front to stump the bond, they're still guaranteed to lose $80M.
There's just no planet on which anyone should loan Donald Trump money expecting to get it paid back.

The lenders who don't expect to get their money back (eg Russian oligarchs) are the most dangerous ones - they "buy" Trump.
Basically they are paying a huge bribe, and they know it. ๐

Trump welcomes Orban to the White House in 2019.
AlterNet - 'Modern day Hitler': Experts sound alarm over Trump heaping praise on 'autocrat' Orbán
09 March 2024
This weekend, while President Biden championed the merits of democracy during various campaign stops in swing states, former President Donald Trump hosted far-right Hungarian autocratic president Viktor Orbán at Mar-a-Lago and even took him to a concert.
Trump's friendliness with the Hungarian prime minister is likely due to the fact that Orbán's central guiding philosophy and preferred method of governing are similar to Trump's, and could provide insight as to what a second Trump presidency would look like. ...
While addressing a crowd at Mar-a-Lago, Trump extolled his leadership style publicly, saying "there’s nobody that’s better, smarter or a better leader than Viktor Orbán, he's fantastic... He says, 'This is the way it's gonna be', and that’s the end of it. He's the boss." ...
Columnist and podcaster Charles Adler tweeted about his firsthand experience with Orbán's brand of governing:

RawStory - Trump's E. Jean Carroll bond in danger after he hands her lawyers new ammo
10 March 2024
At a rally in Georgia on Saturday night, Donald Trump launched a fresh attack on writer E. Jean Carroll that may hand the New York writer's lawyers reason to file a new lawsuit against him as well as kill the $92 million appeals bond he just posted on Friday.
Appearing with the hosts on MSNBC's "The Weekend," legal analyst Lisa Rubin was stunned at the former president creating new problems for himself after the judge in the two trials gave Carroll's attorneys the option of opposing the bond.

Yes, it is remarkable. Remarkable that someone who's a self-declared "stable genius" isn't actually smart enough to know when to close his big lying mouth and just let things go.
I hope she sues him again, Christ alone knows he deserves it.

That should be fun. "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury. $5M wasn't enough to make him shut up. $86.5M wasn't enough to make him shut up. Think of an even bigger number and see if that's enough."

The trouble is when you're a "stable genius" in a universe inhabited by one person, you are the smartest person in the room, and you see no need to give it a rest and let things go. Plus you have no one else to judge you actions against therefore you must be right.
We all have to realise that people like tRump don't rationalise things the way we do, so applying our way of thinking doesn't work.
Her suing him again and an even larger judgement being given will have no effect what-so-ever on the "stable genius".

Two personality traits typical of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) :
Grandiosity: Feelings of entitlement, either overt or covert; self-centeredness; firmly holding to the belief that one is better than others; condescending towards others.
Attention seeking: Excessive attempts to attract and be the focus of the attention of others; admiration seeking.
In the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, Text Revision (DSM-5-TR), NPD is defined as comprising a pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), a constant need for admiration, and a lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by the presence of at least 5 of the following 9 criteria:
- A grandiose sense of self-importance
- A preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
- A belief that he or she is special and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people or institutions
- A need for excessive admiration
- A sense of entitlement
- Interpersonally exploitive behavior
- A lack of empathy
- Envy of others or a belief that others are envious of him or her
- A demonstration of arrogant and haughty behaviors or attitudes
